Lets make some predictions shell we? I'm betting Tim (pro ufc pic I'll admit it)., i'm picking Stephan bonnar, Drew Ficket, and Chir Leben (I can't beleive I routing for Leben.... WAR TEAM QUEST!) Jason Von flue, and Melvin Guil. I left out two matches only because well I don't really know enough to want to make a pic (that doens't mean they won't be great fights). Hay it's a free show so lets hope for something great.

From what the UFC official site is saying, there will be a huge announcement that will change the UFC:
Throughout UFC history, there have been many groundbreaking announcements, moments that have both stunned and thrilled fight fans. But there's never been anything like this.On Monday, January 16th, during the Spike TV broadcast of Ultimate Fight Night 3, the UFC will raise the bar once again by announcing the biggest news in the organization's history, something that will stun the world of mixed martial arts. Don't miss this landmark moment in MMA history on Monday night. The Spike TV broadcast begins at 10pm ET/PT.
Here are some possiblities:
I wonder what this could be monthly live PPV shows (I noticed there are 3 UFC PPV's from Februrary to April), monthly live Spike TV specials, or a mix of both (like a PPV one month then a Spike TV special the next). I think this is best chance of being the announcement.
A big signing. Could it be an old name like Royce Gracie or Frank Shamrock? Could a well known boxer (or Olympic wrestler) make the jump to MMA, and help bring new fans? Could someone jump from PRIDE or K-1 to the UFC?
Maybe they signed the rumored Rogan vs. Snipes celebrity MMA fight. I imagine a lot of die hard Blade fans would check that out.
How about a PRIDE or K-1 vs. UFC supershow?
The return of the Lightweight Division? Okay maybe not as big as what UFC is hyping, but it would be nice after the success PRIDE and K-1 has had with them.
How about them running the Staples Center in Los Angeles? It is rumored that UFC wants to expand into California, and wants to book Ortiz vs. Shamrock II there. I think it would do some big business with weeks of TUF Season 3 hype.
The signing of Sting. Wait, this is UFC and not TNA. My bad.
