Leg Full Nelson Crucifixtinyurl.com/yvvkyo
LWPD (in theory this can work...a good weapon to add to guard work against someone trying to pass) I'm a huge fan of innovation in grappling (I'm very unorthodox myself), and this could be a cool trick with a lot or practice. Nice add, LWPD, I've never seen this before! Two of the most innovative grappling trends I've seen emerge on the web are: Eddie Bravo Rubber Guard Instructionaltinyurl.com/ywaccdtinyurl.com/2prnpatinyurl.com/yvz64kand The Aoki Spinning Choke Instructional linked above...and ironically Aoki's become the most proficient user of the rubber guard!

I'm a big Aoki fan, he's pretty inspirational. I use the rubber guard often in training. There's a lot of room for creativity there.

I watched the videos and something I never knew (because I was never taught this) was while in the rubber guard and in 'mission control' the blade of one's wrist needs to be against the opponent's neck and the ankle needs to be grabbed from underneath. I tried this out last night and it was awesome, leaving no room for my opponent to move. I've always been grasping at my leg however I can get it. I can sincerely say this thread had helped me out in my grappling! (I believe it was) Marc Laimon's demenstration of the rear naked choke against an active defender changed my life too (Did I see that here? If not it was a link I found looking at something from this thread.). When I'm choking people out on PPV I'll make sure to thank LWPD

The best RNC Instructional I've ever seen/archived was: Rear Naked Choke Tutorialtinyurl.com/y4mcvuThat's exactly the video I saw and just how I go to finish the hold. I was totally lost on how to effectively finish from back mount (it seems simple, right?) but seriously after watching this and going over it with my teammate, I'm 1000% improved now. The first time I said "Okay now, try to not let me do it" after practicing I finished it with my teammate KNOWING what I was going for! Very effective teaching.

The instructor is Stephan Kesting...definetly one of the best grappling teachers in the world. He's ultra detailed and breaks every nuance into a science. You should check out his Kneebar and Half-Guard instructionals. Easier said then done. Coleman has some freakish power. Severn and Coleman's midish 90s standup is funny everytime...
