Brazilian magazine 'Tatame' reports that Murilo 'Ninja' Rua is dropping down to the 185-pound division.
Other sources in the Brazilian media report that the possible matchup of Murilo 'Ninja' Rua vs. Paulo Filho may be taking place on the PRIDE card on December 31st or some time next year.
Furthermore, Chute Boxe plans to enter Ninja in the PRIDE 185-pound GP that is being planned for 2007.

Considering how hot the problems between Ninja and Filho are, I am not surprised that Ninja is dropping weight. Ninja is just changing weight through the last few years. He went from Light Heavyweight to Heavyweight in the 2004 GP (where you could see the love handles on him) back to Light Heavyweight and now Middleweight.
This is good for him as he can finally challenge for a title and not have to wait for someone to beat Wanderlai or Shogun

IMO I think Ninja is one of the most underrated fighters in MMA. Though I never saw his bout with Arona, he has always put on an awesome show (except the Sergei beating)every time he fights. Hopefully cutting weight wont have a negative effect on his performance ( I have no idea what weight he is naturally at). If it doesnt Im sure we will be treated to a Henderson/ Ninja rematch in the near future.
