See this is partely why I think the tournament scene is a little annoying. Ricardo Arona actaully beat Wanderlai Silvia and he doens't even get to enjoy the fame for a whole night in that he lost later that night. I consider a victory over Wanderlai Silvia a major event in and of itself more than enough to give anyone fighter the right to bask in the glory of the moment.. but its rather teduis to see some one else has snatched it away due to the fact you had to lay it all on the line after putting down a world class fighter earlier that night (of course I haven't seen the show and am going on pure speculation.... that and I kinda like Ricardo Arona).
NO suprise in Tank Abotts lose.. I relized who he was facing was the same fighter from japan who iced Don Frye in championchip chaos (pride recent release). THey should have tossed him a gimmie or someone a little down the food chain as fighters go.
I'm happy to see Fedor continue his winning ways, and its unfortanate to see Igor continue his down hill slide.. I hope he bounces back soon.

I agree Iike Arona too. "Shogun" Rua should be the top guy after the tournament though. He beat Quinton Jackson, Little Nog, Alstair Overeem, and the man the beat the axe murderer Arona. He is proven.. I didn't think Arona was able to do it. Rematch?

Well it just feels awkerd that the guy who won didn't beat Wanderlai. To be the man you should have to beat the man. Not get lucky and go around him.

Shogun wants to go Heavyweight so I wouldn't worry about him shaking up the light heavyweight top spots anymore. SILVA vs. ARONA for the pride LHW title will happen in OCT or DEC

SILVA vs. ARONA for the pride LHW title will happen in OCT or DEC That in it self leaves unanswered questions (LOL) that's just cruel, I don't see why some one who managed to master a weight class would even consider the possibility of facing Fedor E. I guess some people really are hardened competitors(or foolish you pick).

OMG Shogun is a beast!! Loved the tourney as a whole. The first round was on the slower paced side (most of the fights) and it just got better from there. IMO I think little Nog should be considered one of the top contenders. His war with Shogun was unbelievable. If he can just improve in his takedown defense he just might be able to beat Shogun in their rematch.

"Shogun" doesn't want to step on his teammate Silva's toes if he doesn't have to. If chute box has both Pride belts they would be have to be considered the best gymn in the world for MMA. Especially if Ninja goes to UFC and strikes gold.

That's PRide wishful thinking to assume that Ninja could do such a thing. I might be willing to conceed in his weight class Ninja is in the top five best competitors but he is far and away from being the best. He would do well in the UFC(which to my understand he's decided to pass on) but the idea ninja would mop up in the UFc light heavy weight Devision is a long shot (but hay if Phil Baroni can remake himself anythings possible).
