Oh yeah Spike Tv showed Trigg and Matt's fights last night as well as Tanner vs Franklin 1. Wow Franklin Owned tanner something fierce in that fight. The irony was that Phil Baroni was doing commentary talking about the refs are out there doing there jobs and the fans shouldn't bo them for stopping it early. Heh, strange stuff. After seeing that fight agian after Trigg's next fight provided he wins.. I really think he should move up in weight. I've argued over and over agian I think he's a quality fighter.. and the reason why Matt Hughes makes him look like a wuss.. is simply that Matt Hughe's can do that to damn near anyone in his weight class. I think it would be great to see Frank Trigg Vs Evan tanner if he could make middle weight.

Well, I stopped watching the HHH show five years ago, but J.R was great back 10 or 12 years before that time period.. He has become very ridiculous since his move to the WWF/E but that is okay because the WWE is ridiculous. J.R. , however, could have an actual real technical conversation about pro wrestling (history, moves, ability, getting over, etc.) and really know what he is talking about. Joe Rogan shows his limited knowledge of the sport when he does his commentary. Can he make mistakes? Sure, but I still think he is an idiot. It will take much to change my opinion of him.
I agree with everything you said about Horn and Liddell. My main reason for not liking Chuck is his hair. NO really, it is his hair. I have this theory that any figher who enters the UFC cage with a stupid haircut will suck pretty bad. Chuck kind of kills my theory. Oh well, there usually is a pecentage of error with anything!
I do think that many of the big name light heavyweights are no longer affiliated with the UFC which is sad.. Hopefully, some other really good fighters are waiting in the wings.
I am not familiar with the Robie Lawler Versus Nick Daiz fight.

LOL. I'd ask if you were serious but your net people so most likely you are. I agree with you about liking Jr to a piont, and the irony is I've peeked back at prowrestling on monday and I think HHH moved... sadly its way to late for me to give a damn anymore. THe suspence of Disbeleif in the sport is something I just can't endure anymore. Beside MMA has its fair shair of loud mouths in it for me to be happy. Frank Trigg, Tito Ortiz, I need people who can play the A$$, I'm an ex wrestling fan, I need villian. I agree the light heavy weight division needs more but the irony is I think (i think it's welter weight?) is in the UFC is far suppior to Prides. I would put Matt Hughes, carlos the heat, or even Nick dias agianst anyone in Pride (pound for pound of course). I'm sorta inclined to yeild the heavy weight class to Pride as Andra Arlovski is an excellent athlete but he really is one guy, tim Silvia asside, as with Pual Beuntelo, the heavy division also needs more competors desperately. I think the UFC future is in its lower weight class. I've gotten over Chuck's hair, that was nothing after his entrance against Randy Couture (there first fight).... He came out to a heavy metal version of Vanillia Ices song ice ice baby......(which is another reason why I love Randy cause he kicked his ass that night). No self respecting champion should come out with anything that ever had anythign to do with vanilla ice (i think it was ufc 42? or 43 I'm pretty sure 42). In all honesty I think Randy lost because he beleived everyone (including Joe rogan) who at the time was claiming if this fight was a kick boxing match Randy would be winning at the time. At the time Randy was.. and I personally think that stuck in Randy head, that he figured he could stand with Chuck. Hell I thought it was possible (not a great idea, but I mean Randy looked invincible that night). He'd beat Chuck to the punch over and over agian and take him down.. and it slowly but surely became a one sided A$$ kicking contest. Alot people look at his win over Randy as lucky, I simple say Randy was over confident (rightfully so but I think that's part of the reason why MAtt Hughes Lost to BJ penn, I think after a while he just felt invincible). I can see Chuck eventaully making that mistake. The sheer idea he's going to choke on his first title defense is touch assnine. If he sought out Jeremy Horn for a fight, he must obviously know something that we don't, or have a good game plan. (Why can't some one else defend Chuck LIdell damn it lol I'm only doing it so this message board doesn't sound so one sided).

Hey Magog,
I'll be glad to defend Liddell. Although I usually don't root for straight brawlers, he's grown on me. Maybe it's his tough attitude. Maybe it's his brutality. Maybe it's the fact that he kicked the crap out of Ortiz (whom I can't stand).
As for the "Ice Ice Baby," well he was still green, and he probably let one of his managers choose the song (bad idea).
BTW, the match where he lost to Coutre Was #43.
Also, BTW Magog, you mentioned liking the heel but hating bad haircuts. What's your opinion on Josh Cosheck? Just curious.

Good question. I think Josh is a young kid with alot growing up to do. I don't seem him learning with age (but I could be wrong.. and I don't mean in the ring.. I mean with his attitude). His hair doens't bug me.. I've seen cuts in the MMA where the persons hair did in fact turn that damn red. Bad hair doesn't equal bad fighter.. look at the Texas Crazy horse in Pride. That's some silly A$$ hair and he's a greatfighter and also tends to be very humble. Evan Tanner is a great fighter and he's had loads of awkerd hair styles (I'm amazed I'm having this discussion lol). I don't even think Josh is a villian, he's just a mouthie kid. Tito can make you loath him. Thats why when he looses its pretty damn satisfying. Trigg as well as Tito in there more recent fights were good sports in there individual battles and it shows character. I like the fact there trash talk to build the fight, I think Hughes knew that when he faced Trigg, it adds flavor tot the match. Hell Sakuraba made some remarks about Vanerlai in there rematch that seemed kinda low brow. I'm sure Vanderlai didn't pay it a second thought (or he did and thats he Sakuraba came out of that fight injured whos to say). I think of Ken as a villian. I hate him because he's so in love with himself and his fighting style and just recently he's relized his days come and gone. I almost wish he was better.. because if he would worked his way up the chart to fight Randy I would loved to seen him get owned. But that's just it.. he doesn't deserve it. Because he lost his last fight. Could ken make a come back? Sure, but loosing to Franklen was a nice way to bow out. IT was a good fight.. and Ken gave it his best shot and in the end he showed humility. Yes theres more money to be made, but it would be a WW(E) mistake of burning bridges of tommorow for today. Rehasing the old talent and for saking the new. Some might find it odd I champion Randy Couture with talk like this.... but that's cause Randy a freak. He defys logic and time..and its amazing to see him be held as in high regard as he is. Not because his names Gracie... not because of what he's done in the past.. but because of what he is right now. And the fact he trash talked Tito Ortiz lol. That made me go (..did Randy just talk smack about some one?)

You might be thinking of Chris Lebins, who cried every time he lost. I agree he has some growing up to do. Josh was the one with the wild hair who, along with Bobby (I can't remember his last name) played the jokes on Lebin. Josh also lost to Sanchez in the semi finals of TUF.

Heh your right. I just pictured real bad hair and I thought Chris Lebin. J.C. is a great villain (least on the reality show) I missed the fight night the UFC had sporting the younger talent that played recently, was he on it? I just spotted Chuck LIddel on comedy central of all places on a talk show with Adam carrala. He was blasting Wanderlai silvai and Adam was saying he could kick a guys ass with a name like Wanderlai. Heh I would been annoyed more if i was a hard core pride fan. I think Bobby got screwed when he got cut, but its not like he was gonna win the contest any way. I mean honestly people would payed money to see those two get there a$$ed kicked.

I've actually been ff'ing through RAW to watch UFC the past few weeks. In his match, Kosheck destroyed his opponent (can't remember who it was) with a punching assault. Bobby doesn't impress me at all. Yeah, he beat Lebin, and he won on Fight Night, but I think he'll choke when he gets the chance to face some real opponents.
I will say, after watching Nate Quarry in action, Sanchze is lucky he was injured. Quarry returned to the octagon and annihilated his opponent. Actually I'd enjoy seeing Sanchez against Quarry. That'd probably be a brutal war.

I would love to see Quarry kick that punk all over the ring.

Diego Sanchez is a solid fighter, I find his vioce whinie and annoying and I to would like to see him get his ass kicked but I think he'll win his come out fight. In any case the fun thing is we wont' have to speculate for long on the up and comming fight.. isn't it tommorow, I'm gonna start out with a full prediction (I'm terrble at these sometimes so if you want to know who's going to win bet agianst me) lol.
Chuck takes Jeremy second round. (I don't honestly beleive that but its my lucky guess).
Randy claims victory over MIke in the 3rd rounds.
Diego over Gas first round.
Frank Trigg over Peirre second round (I beleive the longer it goes the more if favors Trigg).
Tim SIlvia over Tra 3rd round, Tra can take a mean a$$ kicking so if Tim doesn't gas he should win this. Knock out
Matt Lindlind over Joe, I think Matt really should be facing some more up the food chain, I can see this wrapping up in the second round.
I know theres two more fights on the card but I don't really have predicitions for them.

Well than my predicitons turned out pretty good... accept the obvious fact that champing Trigg all this time has less than payed off. I can picture Duce giggling his A$$ of right now with a big fat I told you so, and instead of making up exscuses I'm going to say it. I over estimated him. I saw talent in Trigg that wasn't there. I feel less bad about it because Matt Hughes even thought Trigg was going to win, but I'm not going to hide behind all the UFC praise for him. It didn't pan out. I would been really bummed if Trigg and Randy would lost, but I'm greatful for a damn good ppv. Randy didn't look top shelf.. maybe his competitor just took more out of him... but something seemed slightly off. Chuck was on his game, and I think (okay this is wishful thinking) that he's earned some respect here. I already can picture alot people are going to say one of his punches landed in Horn's eye.. but before that Chuck was clearly winning the fight with to knock downs. Jeremy started out the fight attempting to keep the fight toe to toe and I think it cost him later on when he went to go shift gears. Chucks interest after the match seems on action jackson.. and honeslty I think Chuck as the champion is a good thing becauseeeee again taking Jeremy Horn on was a big Risk. That's a hell of a fight to take when you just become champ and he rose to the occasion. I'm sure all the anit Chuck Liddel crowd are going to make up a wago of exscuses on why he won, but I'm going to smile and say nice fight, I can't wait to see the next one. TIm SIlvia's match was a damn good brawl like I'd hoped it would be, Lin Lin's match was pretty good,, the crowd seems to hate him.. which is exactly my piont to Duce on how UFC crowds (american crowds) tend not to be to adoring of technical grappeling fights (which if sunny Lin lin was busier than Randy today, but shhh I didn't say that). Diego looked oaky but I think the kids just to damn small to make an impact in the UFC, but I guess anything possible.
