The following exclusive report was sent to us by our Zuffa informant called 'Coffee Guy':
"My sources are telling me that the real reason Tito Ortiz is pushing hard to start a public rivalry on the internet forums with Forrest Griffin is because he'd like to sign a main event matchup between him and Griffin for a pay-per-view event he is trying to co-promote with the Maloof brothers, who are also the billionaire owners of the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.
The reason that they'd like Tito's opponent to be Griffin is because they want to try and capture 'The Ultimate Fighter' viewing audience.
As MMA fans will remember, Griffin eventually won the light heavyweight tournament of The Ultimate Fighter show, and became a mainstream media poster boy for American MMA in the process.
Most experts I've talked to feel Griffin has become more famous then Tito ever was, and he did it all by himself. He wasn't handed his poster boy status the Tito was with Zuffa. According to these same experts I've talked to, they think a Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz matchup would do great ratings if it gets the right marketing and media exposure."

See this is one of my pionts I"m talking about Duce. I'm sure your ruiting for Forrest and your going to talk about how he's gonna roll over Tito... but again this is MMA. When and if this fight happens, its gonna be a gimmie, and it's gonna be Tito's gimmie. Tito knows he can beat this kid, its why he's picking it. Its smart... Lord knows if Tito actually called out Randy and Chuck he'd be in deep trouble if either fallowed through... and this might be TIto's leap back to the promise land (unless everyone falls for all the over hype. I want to see it.. but I don't expect honestly to much out of this fight). If Tito puts this kid down in the first round.. the only thing its going to do is make tito look really good for a brief moment... and then make the ultimate fighter show look a little less credable.

Meh, this will not happen for a while.
Dana will wnat to protect Forrest for a while longer before sending him to fight a real opponent
I do not like Tito, but I think he has better experience against top level opponents (although most are losses). Forrest may be tough and can take a punch, but the experience give Tito the big edge.
a "gimme Match" to be sure for Tito.

Some random comments. Is Forrest even in the same weight category as Tito. Tito must be pretty desperate for a win. Forrest would have to be stupid to accept this fight. How funny would it be if Forrest beat the crap out of Tito.

Forrest is 6'3 205 11-2 (Jeremy Horn and Dan Severn claim the two loses) Tito is 6'2 205 12-4 (Frank Shamrock, Guy Mezger, Randy Couture, and Chuck claim the loses) Forrest should fight Craig "Farmer" Brown or the like www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?fighterID=8594and then go on to Vernon White or Murilo Rua before a title shot

which is why I route for Tito and for Tito to get this match down with Dana Oh For crying out loud Duce, Dana's company deserves better odds than Forrst. It would be like balancing pride on Guy MEzger... hay! Now Mezger versus Forrest, heh now your talking.

Guy Mezger was introduced to us by UFC. He is a UFC champ... so whats your point? Forrest is the new pony. Guy was the first. Good match...

pony boy ] "the show and tell" Dana's poster boy
Otsuka isn't a jobber because he lost to Guy Mezger and top shelf competition.
this has been repeated once again

No, your just exceedingly Pride Bios, didn't Forest beat Shounie Carter? (I mean i could be wrong Carter seems like he could be overated but that seemed like a big step for a so called show pony).

Nope, I have two eyes and a brain. If someone loses to world class competition they do not suck. The racist japanese comments aside. I don't see anyone nut hugging here besides the Triggisms who seems to want to go to Japan as of late(Trigg lost to much for Dana). If anything I am a Dana nut basher. I love MMA, UFC, IFC, & Pride. King of the Cage is boring. I don't like Dana White. I used to live in Japan for three years. I am not controled by the TV. Thank you and kobonwa....

I don't japan bash I just talk facts.. again I LIKE Japan. I just don't think its perfect. (and debating how cool japan is right here right now will only upset people and get totally off topic). And your right King of the cage is borring (well I saw one good tape they had, but for the most part). Trigg for the most part lately has lost to much.. I'm sure if and when his Competition level picks up he'll be welcomed back.
