Joachim Hanson's match on Pride is really good news to me. I want to see him Pride. He was the one who took Gomi out when he seemed indestructable. His opponett has got ability a victories over top guys kinda weak record(6-3-1) but the level of conpetition Masakazu Imanari has been at explains it.

My Predictions;
Takanori Gomi (Japan) vs. Jean Silva (Brazil) Gomi will destroy the "white bear" TKO blood loss.
Ryo Chonan (Japan) vs. Phil Baroni (USA) Ryo will dominate Phil's chump ass.
Masakazu Imanari (Japan) vs. Joachim Hansen (Norway) This match will be the show stealer. Joachim will get the submission.
Kazuo Misaki (Japan) vs. Daniel Acacio (Brazil) This will be a really good match. I think Daniel win by split decision.
Jyutaro Nakao (Japan) vs. Marcus Aurelio (USA) Maximus will decapitate Nakakao.
Tatsuya Kawajiri (Japan) vs. Luis “Buscape” Firmino (Brazil) Kawajiri is a great pancrase competitor and is the champ in his division. He beat the guy that beat Joachim Hanson. Luis Firmino will likely be a victim of a TKO loss. Yosuke Nishijima (Japan) vs. TBA maybe they'll get Mark Hunt to fight him?

Ryo Chonan (Japan) vs. Phil Baroni (USA) Hay what do you know Phil represented the UFC and smached Ryo, heh doesn't that just suck balls for Pride that another throw away UFC fighter came to japan and cleaned house.

Is that your prediction? Ryo was trained by Antonio Inoki's gymn. Phil knocked out Ikuhisa Minowa(28-21) which didn't shock me at Pride's last bushido. Ryo hasn't lost a match in over a year and Phil's lost two in the last 12 months. Ryo (10-4) Phil(7-5) Edge; Ryo Phil's best victories Dave Menne/Amar Suloev(great fighter) Ryo's best victories Anderson "The Spider" Silva/Hayato "Mach" Sakurai( he beat Menne, trigg, Caol Uno) Edge; its tuff to call whos beat better fighters in their career but I'd give it to Ryo. Ryo debuted 2001 Phil debuted 2000
Honestly it should be good. It will go to the judges. Ryo is no jobber. Phil isn't either but hes been having a tough time lately.

Hay a UFC fan has to bet on something doesn’t he? I wanted to hang up any hope for Phil... He's a loud mouth, a brawler, and fun to watch, but Tanner shot him down the line of jobber dum (which is why it took me so long to grow to accept Tanner.. the irony is the minute I can stand to watch him win he loses lol). Phil feels like a dark horse here.. and damn near everyone and there brother wants to right him off. give him a shot. I wanted to write off Kevan Randlemen but after peeking at Pride total Elimination 2004 the man seems like he still has something left (yes i know he lost later in the tournament... damn the internet and my curiosity and lack of patients to wait for the next tape). If Phil gets his confidence back he'll be tuff to beat. He needs to go out there and lay it all on the line. He wins the same way Vitor Belfort does, 110 percent in the first round and if they fails.. there pretty much boned.

AH, Henry Miller? LoL, versus JAMES "THE ULITMATE COLOSSUS" THOMPSON? Hmmmmm... it looks like Pride doesn't want to sell James short just yet. He is only 7-2 after all. Kimo takes on Phil's leftovers in Minowa( we'll call him "the punk" cause its his nickname). The Punk is 5'9 181 lbs... Kimo is still big I wonder why they booked this match? I'll have to do some research...

I had never seen Ryo fight until I saw the Silva fight. WOW. He was able to trade with Anderson, which is no small task AND land that awesome heel trip right into a lock. That move looked like something out of a movie. As we all know things are so unporedictable in MMA but my main reason for picking Ryo is conditioning. I didnt see Baroni's match against Minowa but from what I've seen of him he tends to slow down in the later rounds. Im not sure if its his tendency to go all-out to early and gas himself out or just a lack of endurance.

Sherdog's hype
by James Hirth (jhirthmma@yahoo.com)
Every time you think, “that was a huge card, it won’t be easy to top,” PRIDE outdoes itself and roars back with another stunning line-up. It continues to recruit the best in the world.
This time they bring Hansen from Norway, Nakao from Japan, Semenov from Russia and Silva from Brazil (there’s another guy named Silva from there in PRIDE right?).
The entire event breaks down as follows:
Canadian Denis Kang from the American Top Team tests Russian grappler Andrei Semenov of the Red Devil Sport Club in a rematch from M-1.
Jutaro Nakao of SHOOTO Gym Osaka goes toe-to-toe with American Top Team fighter Marcus Aurelio.
Yoshida Judoka Ryuichi Murata and U-File fighter Kazuki Okubo let ’em fly in Japan to continue a camp rivalry.
American Sumo fighter Henry Miller confronts Team Ultimate Combat member James Thompson.
Masakazu Imanari of Team Roken combats Joachim Hansen of the Team Scandinavian BJJ Academy.
GRABAKA fighter Kazuo Misaki meets Daniel Acacio of the Chute Boxe Academy.
Tatsuya Kawajiri of the Tops Team and wrestler Luis Firmino of the Brazilian Top Team take to the ring.
Freelance fighter Ikuhisa Minowa faces Hawaiian fighting legend Kimo Leopoldo.
G-Square fighter Ryo Chonan battles American brawler Phil Baroni of the Hammer House.
Takanori Gomi of Kiguchi Dojo challenges Chute Boxe Academy fighter Jean Silva.
