Hey Tom,
Just wanted to let you know that I'll be representing your favorite wrestler as I'm going to be The Sheik for Halloween.
I don't know the exact trick to the fireball, but after a few cocktails, I'm sure I'll work wonders with a lighter and a can of Aqua Net.
Were you ever a wrestler for Halloween? The last time I was a wrestler it was Sting in 1988.

Yeah, you could probably burn your hands if not careful. Have fun with it.

I read somewhere that the fireball was done with some fast-burning paper, like maybe flash paper. (But you didn't hear it from me.)

I was also Sting once during the nWo years.
The last few years I've been a zombie. I'm not sure what this year has in store yet...there's still a few days to decide.

This isn't for Tom, but I dressed as the Great Muta once. I was in a class of like 12 and this was when he was warring with Sting. I was like 10 or 11 maybe? Imagine being the only person in the class who was a wrestling geek and people asked you who you were. ;D

The fireball is done (at least the way I've been taught it's done) with phospherus (sp?) paper. It reacts with the air to make the fire and isn't that hot for that long as the souce of hte flame burns up fast...if done right anyway. Needless to say playing with fire isn't something to be done lightly. Big Time
PS Edit: I'm going out as Death again this year. I had so much fun doing it last year and there have even been reports of people taking my picture but when it cam e back I wasn't in it....freaky huh?

Sounds great Bri. Best of luck to you. Reminds me of when I dressed up as Gene Simmons and tried to breathe fire. Since I can't stand alcohol, I couldn't get it to work right. Your trick will probably be a little safer if it's just phos paper.
Take care,
Jay

You could actually go the safe n' cheesey route, get a big ball of cotton batting, spray paint it in firey colors, starch it up so it holds it's shape, put a stick in it (like cotton candy) and carry it around with you.

I have school on Halloween this year so I won't be dressing up as anything. In the past I have been Muta and Raven. Both were awesome costumes. With the Muta costume I got some of that trick gum that turns your tongue green so it looked like I had just blown the mist. A friend of mine was Vampiro as well. This was when they were teaming in WCW. There was one person at the party that actually knew who we were. I believe the flash paper has to be lit not just exposed to air. I have seen a few fireballs lit in my day and they seem to be lit by a lighter or something. If anyone is interested I know it could probably be found in a magic supply store.
