I have been in LA traffic before. I plan to leave Fresno early and spend the day in LA. Thanks for the traffic tips.

I would carpool with someone, but I am coming from the San Gabriel Valley, so I am about 40 minutes away from the store

I would also carpool, but I'm coming form the San Fernando Valley and my daughter's basketball practice is at 5 pm. So we will be practicing and then hustling down the 5 to the 10 to the 105 to the 405 (phew!) and if the gods of traffic are generous will be arriving sometime around 7 or so.
If i miss this I wll be verrry disappointed. Any way Tom could stick around til 9? Huh?

I am not too far west of downtown L.A. It would be a slight detour, but we could use the 110 and 105 carpool lanes. Otherwise, if I can bum a ride to and from the Green Line (the western terminal is a little over a mile away from the comic book store, but the bus connections don't work) ... If you're still interested in carpooling, let me know.

I am just really dissapointed that I have to miss out on this. The drive from my home in Las Vegas to LA is usually not a problem for me as I often just fill up my truck and then 4 1/2 - 5 hours later I arrive in Los Angeles. But unfortunatly I am away visiting some members of my family and will not fly back home to Las Vegas and the Southwest until Monday August 15. But I am going to try really hard to attend Galacticon next summer.

Great pictures, Grant. Wish you could have performed "The Ballad of Reptillo" or your other GWF-inspired songs.
I was one of the participants in the Battlezone match. My team lost to the Tugman (sp?) brothers, who came down from Fresno to meet Tom.
The most memorable spot in that match was Endgame winning right after a second ref bump (!) that revived him from an earlier botched deathjump.

I had a blast there, even though I felt bad cause we had to leave at 7. I really enjoyed meeting the rest of the "West Coast Warriors" like Grant, Dave, Ray, Chris, and Joe. Tom was awesome to meet in person and I had a great time. Thanks everyone! Ray Grams

I started those two out in COTG back in '89. My apprentices don't lose easily. I trained them well in the Dark Side! Heeheehee.....I'm so proud. This must be what Emperor Palpatine felt like after Darth sliced and diced Obi Wan. ;D

The first lesson I gave them.... "Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat!" Dark side. Dirtiest players in the game. w00t! ;D

Nosfera learned that lesson well. A shot to the jewels will level anybody!

In true Sith fashion, the student has surpassed the master in pure wickedness. I'd better watch my back. ;D
