Hey, guys! I just got back into playing CotG with New Beginning 2119. I've been playing for a couple of weeks and have run about 5 cards. I am really having a great time with it. It is truly fantastic! The problem is: I am chomping at the bit to dive into Subversion 2120! I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing a bit of the storyline discussed out here on the boards, and I want to go there. What do you guys think? Too soon? Or maybe just make the leap and purchase Subversion 2120 and start playing it, or what? Thanks for your input.

You could always order 2120 so you can read the booklet and get your fed going in a storyline direction towards 2120, and slowly introduce the new characters. Just a thought.

I say wait a couple months, the game is only as good as your history allows it to be!! you got some time, the next one isn't until may of next year. I say December would be a nice time to add the new stuff. Gives you 6 months before the next set in May at G CON

Anticipation is often the best part.

I agree with the guy who said order the set and read the book. I would make myself wait to introduce the wrestlers though...

Actually, the next set isn't until July next year at Galacticon if I'm not mistaken. If that's the point, then you have 2 more months yet to go after May. I agree with Mike...take the time, your fed is only as good history allows it.

Don't rush it. 2119 is awesome. I have 3 more cards to go (giving me a total of 34 for the year) before I break out 2120. Don't sacrifice the history of your fed for the instant gratification of breaking out 2120. It'll still be there a few months down the road.

I agree with my boy Matt here. Take the time to enjoy each set. They only come out once a year, so there's plenty of time to catch up.

Great advise everyone!
I am starting to see the benefit of waiting before unleashing Subversion 2120 onto my fed. I am also very wary of bringing in powerful bootleg characters for the same reason, as it would spoil the excitement of the storyline.

Personally yes . I feel sorry for everyone who has started now and is so far behind . Not that its a bad thing , its better starting now than never . Skipping just means you are not building up a history from the past . Which may help you in the future . At the end of the day its up to you . As long as you are happy and having fun . Then keep on rolling .

Personally, I treat the 2119 set as the state of play at the beginning of 2119. Now I'm gradually bringing in the 2120 stuff until, by the beginning of 2120, I'll be in line with the 2120 set. Then I'll start bringing in 2121, and so on. Not that I stick too rigidly to the storylines, mind.
