Hey Tom, any chance of trying to get contact info for Whipper Billy Watson a well known English Canadian icon until Bret Hart came along. Or have you had any contact? I seem to remember Gene Kiniski saying no? Was wondering if there was any chance of getting Watson in the game? I think he would be a great addition to the game for sure. Maybe something to look forward to when Bret is finally in the game, Watson could be in that set too?

Wasn't he a former NWA Champ as well? I always remember that name. Definitely a guy I don't know a lot about, but would love to have him in Legends. Would be interesting to learn about him

I've done some research on Watson, and I think he'd be a big addition to the Legends series. Just be warned, he's another master of the sleeper! He called his the "Canuck Commando Unconscious Hold" but I don't think that will fit on a the back of a card.
He was a former NWA (Association) and NWA (Alliance) World Champion, trading the belt with Wild Bill Longson (who I'd love to have in LOW) and Lou Thesz.

Naw, it could fit on the card. You'd just have to do it
6) Canuck Commando Unconscious Hold (+1) Ropes - Turnbuckle - Ring - Deathjump - etc
You'd just have to wrap around the finisher

I'd like to sign Watson and I think it's possible.

Whipper Watson would one of the top LOW guys if we could get him. He was the Canada's version of Rikidozan. He also was a tag champ with Ilio DiPaolo, so we'd have another LOW connection.
Gene Kiniski did politely declined when asked to be in LOW.

Oh well maybe we could get a LOW bootleg of him and a pic done by Trav since "The Meanest Man in Canada" is not officially a part of the game? I think Whipper Billy Watson shouldn't be too hard to get into the game. And would be a real honour to have him in. I look at the Legends game as some what of a HALL OF FAME and a way to commemorate the impact and work these wrestlers old or new have added to or how their impact on the business changed it in some way.

I hope we can get Billy Watson. He would be a great addition to the LOW
To bad Gene Kiniski said no. He would have been great for the LOW. At least he wasn't rude and politely declined. When they are polite it might be a sign that they might change their mind down the road

I just found this thread and just thought I'd jump on wanting to get Whipper Billy in the game. He'd be a great Legend to have. I personally would want to recreate his hair vs. hair match with Gorgeous George. And as far as the finisher name, how about "CCU Hold" with an explanation in the booklet for what "CCU" means? Just a thought.

That would totally work Cory. Plus Whipper would have to have one killer card.

I would like to match him up against Dick Hutton since they were champs around the same period. Would be an interesting matchup

No doubt! I think Whipper could bring in some very exciting storylines and or matches to LOW feds everywhere and also adds another old schooler to the mix.

You could simply call his finisher the Sleeper and have it's actual name in the book...CCU Hold sounds cool though...
