Hi! A couple of quick questions I always wondered about --
Just curious how you come up with wrestler's names? And I have noticed there really are A LOT of wrestlers whose names being with "M". Is this just a coincidence?
That's it! Thanks!

"E" is also a popular letter.

Pretty much by brainstorming and also looking up words in a thesaurus. The M and E connection are a coincedence although it's also possible that a lot of words start with M.

Personally, I just might hear a name or a word in some other context and like it a lot on its own or with some tweaks. One of my favorite character names ever was Mourn. I'm also a fan of the classical Roman naming system that Dr. Barnabas tends to use. Also, I might initially want to use a name for one person but wind up saving it for another character later. For example, Morgana was originally going to be Rhiannon or Rio (but then I totally changed her skin color and look!), and Gunnar was going to be Absalom.
In my "Clark Kent life," I work with words and names all day recording books and magazines for the Library of Congress, so I'm exposed to a lot of potential idea generators. Come to think of it, it's one of my favorite parts of the game!

Gunnar needs a new name but anyways, I find it cool how you come up with names Mark.

I think the names are SO important to the game. I mean, you see so many bootlegs named "Jerry The Buzzsaw Smith" or "Lord Darkness" or whatever....a lame name can just sink a character from the beginning.
If ANYONE has bootlegs that use those names I appologize...just pulling stuff from my behind as usual.

I brainstorm and look up words in a thesaurus also. I have a bunch of art work, done by me and others, that I havent used yet because they dont fit the guy I am doing. So sometimes I hear a name or something and then I say "wow! That name fits that picture I drew". Then I use them together. Its one of the main reasons some of my older artwork has surfaced. =)

You're right about that, Jim. I find you can also match up a person's personality to his name and vice versa by finding a mythological/biblical character who shares those traits.

Sometimes I use the "gimmick" of wrestlers...such as Ledermuller used The Felon and I tacked on his partner "Mister Meanor" and their valet...Anna Compolis...for example.
