Hi Tom,
I'm just wondering if you have any idea on how many "new" people (particularly kids) are playing COTG.
I know most of the people on here are loyalists who probably have a median age in the mid 20's. I'm almost 20 and I began at 12 so I'm wondering if you have any tabs on the new blood or any strategies to make a new wave of "us". (Was that the thinking behind New Beginning?)
Thanks

I don't handle the business end of things very much, but I've been told that New Beginning is outselling the Classic Box Set by at least 3-1 right now. That's great because it's what I hoped would happen...it's giving people a new starting point.
COTG sales and Legends sales are running pretty much neck and neck, which says a lot for Legends to come on so strong in such a short period of time (3 years).
Thanks for asking!

Wow, that's amazing Tom! Congratulations! Some of us that have been playing since the game's inception (or very close to it) were wondering last year at GalactiCon if there were any new people. Because it seemed like basically, it's the smae peeople every year in Jamestown. Hopefully, the next generation of COTG fans can make the trek to NY, it's well worth it!

Since I live on the west coast (Fresno, California), the trip to the con is expensive. Hopefully, I can make it to the con this year.

GCon still draws our most loyal promoters and we need to make newcomers feel they're part of the gang. To this end we've taken to including GCon announcements with EVERY order and a notice about this discussion board with EVERY order. Building that sense of community was something we worked hard at in the beginning...and it shows. We need to keep doing that with newcomers.
