Has Marty ever been approached about being in the game? I think he would be an awesome addition.

Marty would be fine, but not sure where he fits in. Without Michaels, Marty always seemed to be lost.

Marty did some really good work in ECW I thought. While Marty probably tied himself too much with Shawn, I think he'd still make a really good addition to LOW.

I never saw his ECW stuff, unfortunately. But his match, just last year, w/ Kurt Angle was awesome.

I also liked the match earlier that week on RAW when he reformed The Rockers with Shawn Michaels to take on La Resistance. I thought the WWE signed Jannetty after his match with Angle and I definitly remember reading last July that Jannetty was one of the wrestlers (along with guys like Matt Morgan, Charlie Haas, and Mark Jindrak) who was released after the draft and trades between the two brands. So why didn't Jannetty wrestle again from March to his release in July? Did he get injured?

I read that he got into some legal trouble, or rather that some past legal trouble caught up with him.

It's too bad. After he got released he was Byte This, he said WWE signing him again was one of the best things that happened to him in a long time. It sucks he never got a last run.

Marty was involved in one of my first real "markout" moments ... when Shawn Micheals put him through the barbershop window. Oh man, I went nuts.

Shawn Michaels actually says in his book that Marty had just as much talent as he did but he never realized it.

I can't remember if I've spoken with Marty, but I'll keep him in mind. Thanks for the suggestion.

Shawn Michaels actually says in his book that Marty had just as much talent as he did but he never realized it. One could make the arguement that Marty was MORE talented than Shawn. And by one, i mean me, and by me i mean I. Marty always seemed, to me, to have a more aggresive style. When opponents were getting up he was already on top of them going for his next move... it always seemed like he never gave anyone a chance to breath or get their head together. Full force, 3 steps ahead.

Marty was the better wrestler....I recall reading he was actually supposed to go over in his feud with Shawn but wouldn't swear off drugs long enough...and Vince changed his mind and let Shawn win the feud.

I have always thought and stood by the fact that Marty Jannetty was by far a better wrestler than Shawn Michaels. I always wondered if Michaels sabotaged Jannetty's career in the WWF. Dunno I was sooo happy that he was back in the WWE even for a short term, the guy proved that he could still go.
Tom ya have my vote for bringing Jannetty into Legends!

I'd agree that Marty was a better worker than Shawn as far as the ring work. But for personality, interviews, and the intangibles...he couldnt touch shawn.
It's sad that he let his vices take him down time and again.

I know Vince made the right decision with shawn going over. Shawn would sell much more merchandice and was WAY over with the ladies...he didnt have as many demons hanging over him and was better on the mic. i had always hoped marty would get it together.
