I know Billy Jo Boxer was a boxer before entering the GWF, any chance you will be adding a boxing game to cotg. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I would love to add this aspect to my galaxy.

I would love to add an MMA league like Pride Fighting, which is sort of what the OFC is meant to be on a small scale. Not sure how you'd do boxing in the COTG style. I think the card dynamics would have to be different. Not impossible, though.

Thinking about it a ex-boxer in the OFC would be hard to beat or dodge a knock out punch .

Funny you should mention it...this didn't even wind up in the Dark Menace book: I created a boxing game at the same time I created the COTG gaming system back in high school. I used the same card mechanic and made cards for Muhammed Ali, Joe Frazier, etc. I didn't play it long because I thought it was boring compared with the wrestling version. There were so many moves to work with with wrestling, but too few with boxing (right jab, left jab, right uppercut...the list ends fast). I suppose I could have made it work, but I was a bigger wrestling fan than boxing fan so I dropped it. I suppose someday I could produce a boxing game by tweaking the game mechanic to make it fit boxing a bit more....another thing to do down the road.

I wouldn't mind seeing an MMA game, but I don't know if it'd have as much a fan base as COTG and LOW. Maybe, though, if Tom could get some other fighters (boxers, martial artists, amateur wrestlers, he could release a set just for them. Just have Mark's rules for OFC matches at the end (maybe a side rule if the match is fought in a cage). If it does well, then he can focus on a spin-off game, like CPC was a spin-off of GWF.
As for Boxing, I'd just use either OFC or Last Man Standing rules. I agree with Tom that boxers don't have nearly as many moves as wrestlers and MMA fighters. Now that doesn't mean you can't have boxers in LOW, but I'd keep them pretty rare.
Take care,
Jay

Maybe it would work better, Tom, if you made it like the UFC fighting. Then you could do just about anything you wanted.

I think you're right, but there's no way I've got the time for a project like that. A third game, an Ultimate Fighting card game would be cool and fits our product line, but it's beyond my meager capabilities at this time. I'd need someone else to run this type of operation and I'm not looking for volunteers...just being honest.
I'm also not saying that someone can take my gaming system and start their own game and sell it...not that anyone here would think that. The game mechanic is copyrighted and I work hard to protect that copyright.

Great, Tom, I volunt---....oh you said you weren't looking. Bummer, oh well, but a future possibility could always exist, and I'm sure someone will step forward for the job.
