Who does it? Is there any bleed through w/ colored pencils onto other cards? I'm up in the air on this. SE's and LE's are out of the question. Please talk me out of it or into it.

To be honest, I'd keep your original cards as is. But, I'd make copies (granted you aren't selling them to others! ) and do the coloring on those. I work in graphic design, so I do my thru photoshop. Here are some of my Legends cards cotg.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=LOW&action=display&thread=1147224716EDIT: Arggggggggggggggggggg

If you use colored pencils, it might help to spray them afterwards with a permanent fixatif to keep the color from rubbing off on the backs. You can also buy sleeves that the cards fit in but a lot of people don't like plastic sleeves on their cards.

Trav, you're right I just look in on photoshop and NO THANK YOU SIR! Coloring my cards is all I would use it for and that is tooooo much $ to just color some cards. Hey WM is there a brand name and a store that sells the permanent fixatif that you would suggest?

I use to color them in about 10 years ago , but stopped now . Personally I am a big fan of colored cards like the NAWC bootleg sets . They are great and far better than the black and white sets . It gives the cards even more life ? .

A freeware alternative to Photoship: The GIMP. It does most of what Photoshop does, at a portion of the cost that is incalculable by mortal math thanks to that whole "Division by Zero" thing. No, it's not as fully featured as PhotoShop is, but it should do everything that you need to color in the cards if you want to play around with it.

I never colored my cards and never will. Just a personal preference. Some people that do it have done some outstanding work.
Alex Filsinger and Neal Nelson have done some awesome ones over the years.

Some folks have done a great job in the colouring of their cards but personally I am all for the way they were intended and that is in black and white. They just look better. It is like black and white photography I just have a preference for it. Plus I could never colour my cards. Just couldn't do it, the collector in me says its forbidden. ;D

I color my cards on my computer but still use the B&W versions when rolling the dice.

I only do it for fun...(but you know that though CPB)

I color all of my cards. I guess it just adds to the visual part of the game for me and it is fun fun to think of cool ideas.. But if you like the old black and whites than stick with them.

Well, I started experimenting with some of my least used cards and now I'm hooked. It just adds so much while at the same time not looking, I don't know how to say this, like a young child's coloring book.

The fixatif I use is Krylon Workable Fixatif but that's not necessarily a permanent barrier. It's more for people who want to prevent smudging and keep working on the picture. There is a permanent fixatif version though but make sure you check your card for smudges etc before you spray it or it's pretty much locked on there. You can get both at art or stationary stores I think. Places like Michael's (Village Crafts) or Jo Ann's Fabrics maybe. I've noticed that the fixatifs melt the colored pencil a little when you spray them, but in a good way. Kind of smooths things out a bit. I'd try a scrap sample first before I sprayed your picture though. As for the bags, if anybody is interested, check out www.ClearBags.com
