I am just curious what it is like to talk to all these legends. What are the conversations like that you have with someone like Don Muraco before he decides to sign on the dotted line? What exactly do you tell him about the game that makes him want to be a part of it? I feel like if I tried something like that I would just come off as a fanboy or something.

The easy part is meeting wrestlers in person...the hard part is calling them out of the blue on the telephone. When I meet wrestlers in person I always show them the game...this proves it's legit and they see the guys who are already in it. A lot of them figure, "If it's good enough for Harley Race, it's good enough for me."
Several of the wrestlers are interested in working with me because I am able to arrange convention appearances for them...hence more $$$ in their pockets.
The topics we discuss are incredibly varied and often have nothing to do with wrestling. I talked about office politics with the Masked Superstar, possible bookings with DLo Brown, winter weather with Bobby Heenan, swear words with Dallas Page, book writing with Mick Foley...I think these guys get tired of talking about wrestling all the time and enjoy other topics. It depends on the wrestler. They are an incredibly eccentric and indepedent breed and I like that.

Cool thanks for answering. You could probably write a book on all of your experiences.

I was actually making the joke that "hey you should write a book" when I know that he has already written a book just recently.

Troy, thanks for your kind words. Actually, if I write another book (or revise the current one) it'll probably be a more thorough analysis of the psychology of creativity OR how to be an individual (Dark Menace) in our conformist society. Nongame fans are really focused on those themes and the book is the talk of students at the college.

I do remember in 02 going to a car show with King Kong Bundy (and Snuka and Albano) signing autographs and having Bundy sign my card. He was really excited about it and talked to me about the game. He had nothing but good words about Tom.
I wish Snuka and Albano had a card then though....
