In the recent talks over whether or not to include LWF stuff in the existing Promoter I think it is high time that a brainstorming session happens in this very thread.
So what would you want to see in a LWF Promoter? What would you not want to see? How many would be interested in submitting material if a submissions guideline was handed down from Filsinger Headquarters?
The only way a newsletter can be made is if we put together some ideas and then get some direction to help in its creation. So come on folks lets put our heads together and bring the Legends a newsletter they can be proud of!

Maybe have each issue offer a bootleg special match or a bootleg wrestler card. There seems to be tons of promoters that have made one or the other, so there would always be some good material floating around.

Results are always fun to read if written in an entertaining way. I think that it would be cool to have articles that sound like something out of PWI or something. Something that oozes kayfabe. It would have to be alot of promoter submitted material.

Some great ideas. Would be great to have a the fans decide the outcomes of a "living fed" much to the same vein as GWF as far as ongoing storylines. If there is to be a major swerve or storyline change have a vote happen on the possible storyline changes then that would be written into what is happening within the fed.
Maybe have special Supercards shown on the back of the Legends Promoter showing the upcoming event. Then have folks run the matches and send in their results and use many promoters results to determine who wins each match. So say Harley Race had the most victories based on the many that participated then Race would would the match and thus continues the living fed.
It could be that those who write up a great looking match from said supercards in the living fed could have their match posted in the results so we would constantly have submissions. I think this would really make the Legends promoter submersive and that everyone is having a hand in altering the course of what happens.

I think these are all great ideas. I haven't had time to devote to this lately, but luckily others have. Perhaps a separate Legends newsletter will be produced by the end of this year and we can all judge how it's working.
Thanks again to the greatest game fans in the galaxy. It's YOUR universe and you're building it nicely.

Maybe have each issue offer a bootleg special match or a bootleg wrestler card.
The special match idea is good. Offering bootleg wrestlers is potentially a bad idea. The images and likeness of these wrestlers are owned by their respective owners. If one of these bootleg wrestlers or the owner of the trademark object to their bootleg card being published, the publisher of the newsletter could be in hot water. WWE is pursueing trademark and copyright violations agianst anyone who it percieves of violating WWE copyrights.

Well if not bootlegs, then perhaps a LOW Promoter magazine could occasionally offer subscribers Special Edition or Limited Edition cards of wrestlers who have officially signed with LOW. Or perhaps even alternate versions of wrestlers (i.e. Jimmy Valiant's Boogie Woogie Man or the Mongols) already released or even wrestlers who have basically the same stats but a new drawing (I remember someone said they wanted a new drawing of Buddy Rogers for example) might occasionally be included with a LOW Promoter magazine.

Bootleg wrestlers should stay just that as bootlegs and be created by fans for fans and most of this is already found on the net and around here as well.
The different match types would be a nice touch and I like the idea of a alternate versions of wreslters or have LE's come with the odd edition of the Legends Promoter.
But as much as I don't mind using bootlegs once and awhile I think they really have no place in the official world of the Filsinger products simply because then Tom becomes a target and it can really be hurtful if he decides to sign a potential Legend and some "reputation" is formed and all because of a unsanctioned bootleg.
So this has to deal with legends product Tom has already released. But there are still plenty of things to be tried and done with this newsletter.
Keep the idears coming.

I was thinking the same thing about the bootlegs. It is probably a bad idea. Alternate versions of people already signed is however a pretty good idea. Another idea I thought of is that in one issue there is a sanctioned match. Maybe a famous rivalry or something. Then all the promoters run that match and email the results and then we will have an official winner of that match.

I've been playing around with this idea myself. Page 2 would be similar to the GWF promoter. Tom's thoughts, and the like. Page 3 would be wrestler spotlight. Looking at one of t he LOW wrestlers career in more detail. Page 4 would be results, matches, etc. Page 5 would be an article or two written by promoters(or whonot) Page 6 would be promoter spotlight. A promoter details his LOW fed, feuds, highlights, who he might like to see, etc. Page 7 of course would be rankings (Page 1 is the cover/Page 8 address plus advert of some sort)

I like the format Troy. Very much something to start with and then add upon as the LOW promoter takes flight! Any more idears? Keep them coming!

So since the Legends Ringside Companion is on its way out in October with some new blood LE's to grace the arenas of us loyal LWF promoters. Was wondering how one goes about submitting stuff and what you are looking for if a Promoter is next on the agenda?
Some direction would be welcomed.
