Hi Tom. Im new here and have been checking out the Champions site and message board. Im just wondering if you are a fan of wrestling? Do you watch Raw and Smackdown? I noticed you run wrestling down in your columns. Why? Do you like wrestling or just your view of it?

If he could have sold an RPG based on one of favorite sports - female full contact karate or Turkmenistani beach badminton- he would have.

Gazoo, put the beer down and stop typing. There you go.
Yes, Tom is a wrestling fan, he loves it. He would not have created the game had he not. He gives Promotors (the folks here on this board that play the game) a chance to be bookers and promotors of our own feds. Think of it like RAW, if I want to see Cena wrestle Kane, I am out of luck as that will not happen. But if I had COTG cards of Cena and Kane and wanted them to square off, it would happen.
Tom does not put down wrestling. He longs for the wrestling he remembers as a kid growing up. He wants the magic and mystery put back. Back when darnit, it was possible to believe the Undertaker had occult like powers and Kamala actually came from the deepest darkest jungle in Africa. That these characters were real, not just played by two guys you can see eating pancakes at IHOP.
Gazoo, recommend you play the game for awhile and learn a little bit about wrestling before posting.

Is this game for older people that watched back then? It must not be for fans of current wrestling. Hmmm.

Well, I could see his remarks applying to Legends of Wrestling...
And there is some truth to his comments about CotG...after all...it's for fans of wrestling's future...=P
Seriously, I think Tom's like myself and a lot of others. We are in love with professional wrestling. We may not LIKE it sometimes....but we still love it.

Gazoo,
I love professional wrestling...I always have. Right now I think the WWE is in a slump so I don't watch it regularly. I wish I got TNA in our area so I could see an alternative.
Wrestling has always had its ups and downs. I stopped watching for while in the early 90's during a down period then got really into the nWo and Stone Cold Steve Austin/Rock eras. Since then things have gone stale IMO. You could see it coming a mile a way when Vince bought WCW and there was no competition any longer.
Once this beautiful summer is over I may start watching RAW again...right now I'm spending all my time outside. The fact is, I don't watch television at all...wrestling is the only show I ever watch.
