But look at the title of the thing: GWF Promoter. That says it all to me... Well the promoter is supposed to covering all parts of Filsinger Games currently. I would definitely stop getting the promoter if there ceased to be LOW coverage. I would also quit my subscription if I don't see much more in the way of LOW coverage. Lately all I get is rankings.

Sorry. The Questions will come from any and all sets. Maybe also a few questions from Dark Menace My bad Troy. Wasn't aware you were in charge of the trivia contest... I volunteered to do the questions anyways so Jim Steinoff(spelling?) could play in it next year.

I would be happy to head up a LWF mag, if I had any knowledge of how to do it...

Got my copy and there's some good stuff in it. The Street Fight I'd like to see become an official match.

Ok Im sorry but I have to turn heel on this topic, I dont want to say some stuff but I feel I got to get it off my chest, Im going to vent in the next paragraph so dont take things too much to heart I may be only mostly serious here but again I need to vent ...
... I actually stopped getting the promoter. It was a stretch at $12 for 6 issues. I thought it was subpar at best, most of the best material is used right here on the webpage. Inside Toms Head or whatever on the webpage is 100 times better than the inside fed HQ section so take that out. Promoter fed updates, again better here. Next, us Todd's think alike and I am really not that big a fan of LOW (Yeah I see the point of it but again Im not going to spend $10 on an edition with maybe one or two cards I want - customizable sets may be cool but thats another topic), LOW needs to be FULLY removed from the GWF Promoter.
Now I know what your all saying at this point, Todd what would you do. Yeah I know cost probably makes my suggestions unreasonable but what the hell. First change, rename it to ... CotG Promoter
COVER - Is find, I like the idea of a main graphic like a comic book. But I say continue with the theme and make the whole cover look like that with a stylized GWF Promoter logo, issue # and volume # is specialized type not just thrown on there.
INSIDE COVER ... the Toms special message page, maybe have major announcements here, I kind of like Toms stories and anectdotes and this could be a special section for it. I would also like to hear more about his past thoughts on characters. Maybe showcase unused art here (TOM that would be another great book - The Art of CotG, unusued art like naked Maxine Babe), but again maybe Toms little place to vent or talk about stuff relating to CotG
SECOND PAGE ... new feature an "around the horn" like page where topics are thrown out to four promoters, maybe like three hot topics and have each give quick responses like the ESPN show. Some of the best parts of this game are different peoples responses to characters and situations.
THIRD PAGE ... three columns, first column - wrestler spotlight. Each issue would basically do what the GWF files does and gives a complete wrestler profile. The second column has various promoter comments on that wrestler. The third column is a special trivia on that wrestler that is for fun, just so us people who arent Pete Fusco and have the entire universe set to memory and can see how much we actually know and come into a trivia contest much better prepared (Hey I got a car accident on the way to Galacticon this year and was flustered, totally forgot everything)
FOURTH PAGE - ACE section, this section will have three columns with the rankings to the far right. Have some sort of special highlight just on ACE. Maybe have Kris Osk drop some basic updates where he is with the next edition and plans and ideas he may use or have rejected.
FIFTH PAGE - CPC section, just like ACE
SIXTH PAGE - GWF section, just like ACE
Ok Im done, sorry I just am in that evil venting mode, I dont know if my post made any sense but its just how I would do it.
GO TCU!!!! YES!!!

I don't imagine it will separate unless it could have it's own newsletter. Mind you, I support we just move the whole thing to electronic, but that's just me.

I'm sorry, but the Promoter is a GREAT subscription into everything that is Filsinger Games. I know that John has done a great job with his opperation of the Promoter and so did Mark. When I know the new Promoter hits the mail, I'm excited to read everything within. I don't need inspiration to play CotG and LOW, but the Promoter really lays the foundation for more inspiration to kick it up a notch or two. I know we could have more, but we will get more with a new editor in John and we should give him a chance and support him in his tenure as EDITOR of the GWF PROMOTER.

Well .. well.. well.. well..
I am beyond lightspeed happy with what is going on here. This is what makes this game so great. Promoters discussing and "venting" (as one esteemed individual said earlier) about this phenom.
And it seems people are getting what I have said all along.. this is the publication for all of US.. not myself.. not one person.. but all of US..
Believe when I say.. I have so many ideas.. it's beyond the edge of the galaxy..
P. Deus.. you should consider picking up the Promoter somewhere in the near future (not a shameless plug btw..). For you will begin to see that you and I think very much alike in terms to content and layout. Many of my ideas are similar to many things you have posted. Some ideas are harder to work logistically but, as Tom can attest to, I am very tenacious and will find a way to make things work. I do have a request of you.. since I can't seem to locate an email address to request this of you.. forgive me if it was posted and I missed it.. but the request is .. would you be interested in writing something for an upcoming issue? I hesitate to post what exactly for it hedges off of something in the newest Promoter .. and I do not want to spoil anything for those that do not have it yet.. but it is something akin to ideas you had recently posted..
Remember people.. it is not "evil venting" or anything of that sort.. you are entitled to your opinion.. I cannot give you the very best unless I get feedback.. it takes a lot to post something that others may not agree with but GO FOR IT!!
Trust me when I say.. we are going to another galaxy on this Promoter journey ..
Your humble editor, John K.

Pravus, I am not in the least bit upset with your comments. Actually I am more than pleased with your comments because YOU are letting your voice be heard. That is, after all, what this discussion board is for.. all of US to talk about this game.
Trust me, I do not take any negative, or otherwise, comments personally.
Any person who wishes to grow, within the contexts of this game, professionally, life, etc., has to be able to take constructive criticism.
Another thing that I liked about the comments is you offered suggestions for improvement. Too often, no matter where in life, I see people complain about something but offer no solutions. At least you took time Pravus to offer solutions.. and trust me those will be taken into great consideration for the future..
When I offered a writing opportunity, for the next Promoter, it wasn't a challenge because you thought I was mad about your comments. Far from it.. I have seen your comments over recent months across this board.. and I believe you would work well for something I have in mind.. email me at jkcotg@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.. in fact what I have in mind will use many elements of what you posted for suggestions in this thread.
And for the rest of you out there.. you will hear from me when I have need of your immeasurable talents..
This editor is only as good as the readers who peruse the publication..
Thanks again John K.

Oh I didnt even comment about that ... if I could find time John I would love to. I just got promoted at work so time may be an issue. Though I do think an "Around the Horn" thing would be an idea many people may go for. Its fun to argue and I think other fans think the same thing.

It is a good idea.. and a possibility for the near future.. the next issue space is pretty much allocated.. but maybe the following issue.. so many ideas.. so little space..
Oh.. Congrats on your promotion Pravus.. keep the dice rolling..

Hey John, how about next month you put 1 or 2 questions in the Promoter and take the best responses and post them in the following issue. Surely there is room to start up an Around the Horn like segment next month.

it would be great to see a LOW promoter but until that happens I think the LOW stuff should be in the Promoter for now. I would be interested in submitting stuff for the LOW section just not sure what you would be looking for? Some ideas would be great.

Hey TournamentMaster, I have a great idea for something very, very similar to what you are asking for.. but I need to work out the kinks to it.. If it is not finalized by the next issue then I will allude to it in the Promoter (unless it gets scrapped altogether)..
As far as "Around The Horn".. well I really like that idea.. and I can see that as a very good possibility for the near future.. in addition to the idea I alluded to in this very post.. which would mean there would be two separate segments for questions.... hmm.. hmm..
Oh the fun has just begun..

Sorry for being a negative opinion but why would I want to read different promoter's thoughts in the newsletter when I do that here on this board every day? What would set that apart from what is said online? Besides having your name in the Promoter. If Tom would ever answer me some of what has been discussed in this thread would be taken care of, so I'll keep trying.

I think folks are being a little too exclusive when it comes to the Promoter. I just subscribed for a 2 yr subscription because it includes a bit of everything. Regardless what fed it is for it should cover the Filsinger product(s) and that is what it does. Until people decide to contribute in the creation of a Legends promoter I think Tom's creations should all be represented. They have something synonymous between them and that is wrestling.
