tom or kris,
has anybody thought of creating a set based on the persons in the graphic novel?i was just re-reading my copy and the thought came to me.

I don't believe that has been discussed in detail although I know there was initially some talk of creating cards and releasing them with the graphic novel. As usual, we'd like to hear what people think although it's also the case that we don't want to flood the market with so many COTG projects that people can't really use them all.
It's a very rich universe with many possibilities! Jeff and Kris did a great job with COTG: GENESIS.

Even though I could not personally use them (in the historical sense)..it might be kinda cool to see some of the stars...especially Screw in his prime....oh, and Vanguard.....that would be real cool, actually....

it would be cool to have a card for every one in cotg:genesis. think about the cards for:
screw (in his prime)
vangaurd
the hooligans as a tag team with jack hood
gryphon
aurora
maybe even legion?
what does everyone else think?

I would personally love to see it! I think just about every character could be made use of. And not only that, but a branch of other characters could be created off of it.
As Tom says, the possibilities are endless. "The only limitation, is your imagination!"

a genesis set would be awesome. the characters would be cool , and to see what screw would be like in his prime would be scary. and a vanguard card would be sweet.

I was surprised nobody mentioned Blitz until now! Blitz and Vanguard would be wonderful. Even "The Decapitator" would be a cool one, say when he was younger in his prime!!! Screw is fastly becoming one of my personal favorites, and he's scary young or old! That guy should be cloned (even if it is illegal!)  And even if Tom and Kris didn't do it right away, 'cuz they don't want to saturate the market right now, I think down the road it would be wonderful to see! I mean, they could start working on ideas now, take their time and make a very unique and powerful looking set! It would be a money maker, that's for sure!!! |

Well, those all would be great! Legion, probably not, being that he dies! But maybe another Brymstonian Hitman would be ok. I liked the conflict between everyone. Even gryphon and jack putting aside their differences to fight off Vanguard! That was a cool twist! but yeah, those characters plus Blitz. |

Yeah, that's what I was thinking in the beginning, have the underground Outlaw Federation. Heck, a guy could even bring in shootstyle or OFC type characters to wrestle there! It would be a lot of room to grow for the POW! Maybe even the return of the original Theatre of Pain, a home coming of sorts.

I did up cards for the Hoolis, but I have misplaced them. Cards for Aurora and Gryphon (Samson Silver), Screw, Blitz, and Vanguard would be cool. I forget, who were the slavemasters? Personally I had it in my mind to do a Best of the POW set in the near future, this may just kick it off the ground.

I've posted in all the other threads, so might as well here too!
My opinion is basically, I think this could be a good thing to start with. I'm not sure how future sets will go? I guess that depends on how the saga unfolds. but as of right now, there are at least 8 characters that could be made into cards, and there can always be some hidden characters that are based on the storyline. Like Arron's fellow slave, Aurora's sparring partner, etc... Possibilities galore!
I think I've even mentioned in another posting, that the POW would be a perfect enviroment for shootfighter clubs or Outlaw Fight Club members!! Even the Theatre of Pain could make a home coming of sorts?
At any rate, this is a doable thing, and I think most ppl would like to see, especially if they're a fan of the graphic novel! Jack Hood's card is fabelous, would like to see something that would compliment that!
