Hey everybody. Just a little bit about myself: I was one of the original players of this game back in the beginning. I was able to hang in there right up through the War Games series, but, regretfully, stopped promoting. Well, all these years later, I'm getting back into the madness. I just ordered the original 2087, and all 3 Invasion installments. If I play as religously as I did back then, I should be caught up in no time. I've already got 3 title tournaments scheduled, I'm just waiting on my participants. I little warning to the die-hard gamers that stick religously to the storyline.....a simple roll of the dice can change the whole structure of my fed. One example--Proteus vs. Actagon was one of my bloodiest fueds back in the day. They turned on each other after losing the tag titles to Star Warrior and Thantos......Nothing was ever planned, it was always a roll of the dice and luck of the draw. That's what I loved about CotG, it took on a life of its own. Anyway, I look forward to chatting with other promoters in the coming days, months, and even years. We didn't have the ease of the internet back then, this will make my second go-round with CotG a totally awesome experience. I hope to learn from other promoters. I will definitely keep everybody informed as to how my fed is coming along. I look forward to hearing from you. Brian

Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had Actagon and Proteus feud as well. In my fed, they just could not win the tag team title. They came close, but could not win the "Big One". Actagon decided that Proteus was holding them back, so he went into singles action. Actagon become a great "cocky" heel for me, very similar to Randy Orton's character today. Eventually, Solarus was able to reunite the two former partners. It was a fun feud for me. The dice do tend to take story lines into totally unexpected directions. That is a big part of the fun in playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's funny. Due to some weird dice rolls, Proteus won my Galaxian Heavyweight Title in 2088. I think he only held it for about a month or so, but it was still cool.
Have you ever considered starting with Early Classics? It takes you all the way back to the beginning of the GWF in 2074. It's on the website if you want to check it out. Just a thought.

The Early Classics (EC) is incredibly awesome....It gives us the opportunity to start at the VERY beginning of the GWF....
I fully recommend it...

Ditto - check out my Relaunch to see how awesome the EC makes those early years from a promoters standpoint. I have just ended 2080, with Defiance as the GWF Tag Team Champs and with Commander Sam as the GWF Heavyweight Champion. Good stuff, and I know you'll have fun with some great characters!

I started with Early Classics and am now finishing up 2102. I agree starting with Early Classics is a great way to go because it gives you a more enriched history for your fed.
For instance, as I am finishing up the Mega Tournament sets, Omega and Morpheus actually have a played out history in the ring against each other that happened in my fed during the early Classics Period and it not something that is only on paper. Also, current commisioner Grogan won the Galactic Championship 6 times during my Early Classics Period and I think it makes his tenure as commissioner more interesting than if I just said he was a former GWF wrestler and champion without having actually played out those years.

I think the most exciting part that I am planning is the development of the Galactic Code and when it breaks...it'll be fun to watch Omega and the Code Enforcer try to enforce it, as Thantos and others try to break it. Then when it finally breaks...well...when I get there you'll all see what I have planned. (Caution, don't hold your breathe, it may be awhile.)

Nice to see you returning to the greatest game ever!
You're right, the dice rolls can make for great storylines. Hope you will be posting your fed on the Fed Forum.
