Background: So in my fed, Massif went on an absolute tear, having great feuds with guys like Thantos, pre-Cleansing Spike, Brute, and Morpheus (i used his EC card for a come back in 2087). So I awarded him with my own bootleg upgrade card. He would have an interesting program with Star Warriior (interesting because Massif knew Warrior was his main competition for the Universal Title, but wasn';t trying tobetray the FDF) and eventually won the Universal belt. He is easily my second most successful good guy at this point, behind Warrioir and ahead of guys like Nexus and Wolf: Pretty straightforward upgrade. Volcanic Drop (his former finihser) became an Add 1 big elbow drop. And his finisher, MASSIF ATTACK, is his own version of the horribly underappreciated SSD(Steiner Screwdriver.) For those of you doing your own re-starts, I hope this Massif card is enjoyable!!

I normally don't care for bootlegs, but that is nice! I always felt Massif never got his due and retired too soon, so to me, this is a good card. Nice job, P Hate!

Thanks.
P Hate just became my all time favorite abbreviation of my user name. ;D

P Hate is a good abbreviation and I agree that Massif could have used an update which is why he was my first Alternate card ever.

I honestly think my dream 'bootleg set'- or even an official set- would be a GWF done sort of like Marvel's Ultimate line: original characters done in a slightly alternate way, but still keeping within the character. Just 10 or 12 cards done as either What If? scenarios (whatif Matador got the Cube or what if Wolf stayed a Gladiator)or as upgrades to character who never got a chance to step out on their own.

I've done that myself. It would be a very cool set. The only difficulty would be keeping it down to that few. (What if Star Warrior was injured instead of Thantos, What if the Gladiators had won Sudden Death 95, what if Khan and Mutant attacked Pulsar instead of Pit Viper to name a few)

I always pictured his Volcanic Drop to be a power bomb. With his strength it should have been a +3, but I always felt Massif was too nice of a guy and he held back. Spike, however, never held back.
Massif was my first Heavyweight Champion and he was one of the best wrestlers of 2087. Then he got pinned by Kraken and he was never the same.

Pure, that is such an awesome idea!! How about the first set re-done with modern stats, moves, etc!?

Hmmm...some of the guys from the first set are so 'untouchable' though. I'd actually feel guilty re-doing 2087 Star Warrior(my fav SW), Wolf, Thantos, Krakan, or the Gladiators. Maybe I'd do a modernized Executioner or Terak the Beast Rider and Renegade..maybe even a Grogan in 2087 as if he'd never left. I'll see. If anything develops worth posting I'll definitely put it up on the boards.

Massiff has been a decent guy 4 me. He's won my Terran System belt 2x and was involved in a match of the year against Executioner at Wrestlebash(even though he lost). I might play an angle where he fights Hulk Hogan(circa 1984-1988). to prove who is the strongest force in the universe

I toyed with the idea of redoing all the original GWFers with new moves as the biggest weakness to me of the early editions is that t he movesets are so limited with way too many guys using the same moves.
