It didn't have no where near the traffic that this board gets, but it had some good things going for it, especially if you like Legends over Champions. Sad to think that an entire board, with fed results, personal thoughts, and all kinds of creativity can be wiped away by the selfish act of one individual. Yeah, although I'm OK because the complete history of my fed is here on this board, I feel bad for anyone who put time and energy into their fed resuults only to learn suddenly that their fed's history was wiped out by either trying to log into The Deuce or via an Email. Although it's a good idea to make backup copies of your fed results, more advance notice really should have been given before killing The Deuce.

While I was never a member, I'm saddened to hear that the Deuce is no longer online. The board seemed to have developed its own unique niche and I commend Holland for having been proactive enough to act on his ideals and take the time and effort necessary to provide the CotG Community with an alternative forum for participation. Being an Admin is a thankless task as the level of appreciation one receives is rarely commensurate with the time and patience that has to be invested. In that sense Ingersoll's longevity is highly admirable. One possible (but far from perfect) resource for those looking to find past Deuce material can be found at web.archive.org. Note content is dated six months behind and ‘more recent’ material (if there is any) will likely appear on a month to month basis. A quick check didn't find too many threads going deep (and many not at all). YMMV. Parts of the board can also be somewhat accessed through Google Cache form but what is out there is hit and miss. A while back I coordinated with a few members of 'this board' to assist with the periodic archiving of the CotG HOF and other threads we deemed to be of significant/enduring value. It was and continues to be a very subjective undertaking and content that is of importance and value to other segments of the community is bound to fall through the cracks. Hopefully the CotG Community as a whole can use this as a positive incitement toward coordinating a practical archiving system that protects open source content in the event of something like a Proboard system crash or an outright board deletion. Doing so would not only help to protect immediate access to material for current members...but more importantly serve to protect enduring access going forward. Something as simple as saving the text of a valued thread to a free resource (such as a Google G-Mail Account) can easily serve as a practical means of archiving. Then the material can be quickly resurrected if ever need be. For the greater good of all...we all have the power to do our part in helping to help preserve the many great open source contributions we have encountered over the years. If Holland was willing to... he can ask Proboards to reinstate the board using their support forum. Their policy allows for the reinstatement of boards unless they were removed for TOS violations. I'd encourage Holland to do this, if only to allow the community to archive material posted exclusively on that site- I know that there was a ton of LOW stuff over there, and my guess is that at least some of it doesn't exist anywhere else. Perhaps Holland can get it reinstated, with an understanding that he is locking the board (no posting allowed) and will delete it on a pre-defined date that is publicized here.

Good idea Mike. That would be for the best. Hopefully Holland can do that.

Show me the paperwork, and I'll change it Considering that I posted the LWA fed links on the Deuce, I'd think that would constitute notice.... Really? Huh.. I'm surprised no one mentioned it... It IS a good name, after all (I know a few people that use it for their Legends feds too) Since we're on our own board and all, I don't think they'll be much confusion, but if there is, feel free to continue to refer to us as the DWA.. it'll be just like the popular media still calling it 'WWF (or better still, WCW)

Wait there was another discussion board and it just closed down and who is Holland?. I barely have enough time for this board and some time on facebook. I should really pay attention sometimes but I do like going about the world minding my buisness and not telling people what to do and think.

I'm gutted that the board disappeared, as I was following the development of some bootlegs.

I'm curious to know what transpired. If posting details would cause issues, PM me them if possible.
