Actually I think longest match would involve Black Hole Bart or Astro Turk vs Ursa Major.

Well I'd say Astro Turk.. Black Hole Bart isn't as bad, I don't think... but you're right. What a horrid match that would be to play

Who else thinks this could break records for longest match ever? ;D I think DSC's insanely bad Pin Rating prevents him from having a true marathon match with anyone. That and Cyclopes has a killer Level 3 Offense. The worst match-up among the early sets was easily the updated Brute vs. Man-Mountain.

I always liked the Dark Star Creature. I actually had Cannibal bring him into the GWF in 2098, where he "wrestled" for about 9 months...

I liked Dark Star Creature as well, though never really used him much. What I remember about him is that he was incredibly difficult to hurt, but once you got him down he tended to stay down. Same (almost) for Man Mountain.

DSC was just a real fun guy to use--completely unique stats that were a complete abandonment of all the card rules (the 11[8] pin, and I remember 3 "out of the rings" with no choices, and no other chart options). I never bit the bullet and brought him into the real fed but I ran quite a bit of GWFF cards just because of him.
The moves like "(sort of a) bodyslam" were quite inspired, too.

We'll be getting a new DSC in Promoter Madness so I've heard. DSC was a very fun card to use and the almost and kind of moves were awesome.

Yep...in tribute to a life long friend that I have had and Cammagga ;D has that suffered a horrible accident...we will be putting Dark Star in the Promoter Madness... I digree, however, and have to say that the longest match (and most horrendous) was Aspin Northstar versus Scimitar...serious yawn fest! Hell it was the opening card and I almost lost all the ringside fans because of it...

sorry to break up this topic, but Matt, you're avatar is soooooooo disturbing (sarcastically speaking). I know I have some days where I wanna do that with my computer! haha.
Anyways, back on topic, I think the worst matchup I've ever encountered was when Sir Ender battled Ursa Major (rookie card) in a match for kicks and giggles. man those guys suck! Ursa Major did win, which was sort of an upset IMO?

WHat is Promoter Maddness? You've obviously been away awhile. Since I'm lazy, I've copied and pasted from the COTG website: It doesn't get any better than this. Just when you were wondering what tricks we'd have up our sleeve, we've unleashed PROMOTER MADNESS on an enexpecting galaxy!
It's an opportunity for 15 lucky game fans to produce an official playing card for Filsinger Games! The unique game edition, called PROMOTER MADNESS (surprise!) will be released at the end of 2006. The winners of this contest will be picked at a once-in-a-lifetime lottery at GalactiCon 2006!
Don't just sit there! Find out more by going to the GalactiCon 2006 page! And start planning for a vacation among your COTG and LOW friends in Jamestown on July 8-9! A better time could not be had!
And keep watching this web site for annoucements about special guests appearing at GalactiCon 2006! It's party time.

Ah, I heard of it but did not know it had a name. Since I have never been able to go to GalactiCon since it began.
Why would someone redo DSC when they have the chance to make a brand new guy?

Personal preference..? Not sure...Maybe they had a different vision than how he ultimately turned out and now they have a chance to realize it....or some junk...

I wanted to make Crossfire's clone. I guess that's somewhat of a remake.
I never saw the original DSC so I'd be interested in what a new one was like.
