Hey Fellas,
As some of you know, I own a mobile DJ service that performs at weddings, school dances, etc.
I've been advertising on a wedding website for a few years now and it’s been very successful for me. Recently, this website offered me a chance to do an “e-mail blast”, which is a canned e-mail that is sent to all of the area brides that are registered on the site.
The purpose of the e-mail is to alert the brides that our prices are increasing on January 1, so they should act now to save themselves money. The e-mail will go out the week after Thanksgiving, when the “bridal vendor hiring season” for the next year begins.
Within the structured format of the e-mail, I’m allowed to include 3 short bullet points. I already know what the first two will be, but for the third one, I was considering taking a more humorous approach. Here’s my idea…
-Taming “Bridezillas” with full dance floors and fun memories since 1996!
Most of the brides registered on this site are self-confessed “Bridezillas” anyway, and research has proven that the one thing they remember most about their wedding DJ is that if the dance floor was full or not. We already have a great reputation among the brides on this site, but I don’t want to send the wrong message and offend anyone. Basically, I’m hoping that everyone gets the humor of it and it drives them to contact us.
I know most of us are guys on here, but some of you work in advertising, so I was wondering if you (or your significant others, if you wouldn’t mind asking), could share your thoughts with me on this. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
