For those who wanted me to keep them informed, as of Saturday night, I am a licensed professional wrestler in Oklahoma, working as a referee for COMPOUND Pro Wrestling (http://www.compoundpro.com) while getting sporadic workouts at spot shows while we try to work out deals to get in our own building.
In fact, the Compound website has a video up featuring "The Compound Franchise" Romero Contreras vs The PINK Nation's Shane Morbid from Saturday night's show in Wagoner, OK, with me as referee.

congrats Tommy, that is awesome news. Good job on reffing your first bout! Make sure no foriegn or international objects slip in now...the occasional payoff is always cool though  |

Hopefully the refereeing is just a very temporary thing. We don't actually have any full-time refs right now, just wrestlers in training, injured wrestlers or wrestlers under masks that moonlight, so it's where I'm at at the moment.

Do you do the double index-finger "Ring the bell!" when there's a disqualification? That's the only time I'd ever mark out for a ref.

I'd mark out for one if he did a Jenetty-like 360-oversell of a clothesline bump. If you're going to be pretending to be unconscious for an unreasonable amount of time, at least make me believe it. |
