Payback, I, and Joe (coming all the way from Kentucky) will be representing COTG and The Inner Circle in style, lower bowl, with a pre-show VIP party in the building... Hell yeah! Thanks Jim...I actually had no idea we were going...this is a huge surprise...
we had mentioned to my boy almost a year ago (who is huge into wrestling) that it would be cool if we went and mentioned it would be nice to get a bunch of tix (the dream was to get about 4-8 of us from the COTG world together and go)...
well he got 6 which was some kind of limit I guess...not cheap, $100.00 a seat which really isn't that bad...
I'm definitely taking a huge MONOLITH sign with me!

I am not going to be able to go to this year's Wrestlemania but it is being reported that the WWE is strongly leaning toward the arena at the MGM Grand here in Sin City as the site of Wrestlemania 24 in 2008. If that indeed turns out to be the case, I am definitely going to put some money aside and make sure i go.

My buddy just called me today and sounded all bummed out and depressed. I started trying to figure out what was wrong and cheer him up when all of a sudden he goes .... "Dude ... I have Wrestlemania tickets!!!"
I started to say "WHAT!?!?" but before I could even get it out he followed up with ....
.... "you wanna go??"
............. ............. ............
When I came to, I picked myself up off the kitchen floor, called him back and booked the ticket.
I"LL BE THERE BABY!

My brothers and I attended Wrestlemania 21 in LA. I avoid LA and will only travel there for special occassions. Wrestlemania 21 in 2005 and Tom's visit to the Comic Bug this last summer are tthe only visits I have made to LA. Both Wrestlemania and Tom's visit made the trip worthwhile. When Wrestlemania returns to California or within a reasonable distance, I will be there. If that means another trip to LA, then I will have to go. Of course, if Tom appears at another convention on the west coast (I vote for a Las Vegas Galacticon), I will be there!!!!

dude we gotta hang out. strong! For sure man. I haven't been a PPV since No Mercy in 1999, which was one of the best experiences of my life! And not just because of the card (first ladder match between the Hardy Boys and Edge & Christian) ... the thing I will never forget was after the show when we were leaving the building. Bob Backlund had a little t-shirt stand where he was selling his Vote For Backlund shirts when my friend told him it had always been his dream to be placed in the crossface chickenwing because he didn't think it could be THAT painful. I figured Backlund would simply laugh this off. I was wrong. Quite wrong. With catlike agility Backlund hopped over the table and darted behind Greg, yanking his arm behind him and taking him down in the middle of the hallway and locking him in the CROSSFACE CHICKENWING (+2)!!!!! Greg was laughing, but it was the kind of laughing you do when you actually want to cry. And he was tapping out like I have never seen anyone tap out before. People were just standing around in shock, terror and disbelief. Then, after about 10 seconds, Backlund helped Greg up and asked him if he was ok. We all shook hands with him and thanked him for the memory. I was so impressed that I actually bought one of his t-shirts and still own it to this day. So, this PPV has big shoes to fill lol. Something monumental has to happen, so hanging out with some of the Motor City Posse ought to help with that. Oh, and Greg will be there too.

You guys are going to have a blast at Mania. I went to WM20 in MSG, which was a horrid card up until the last 2 matches, but still was a very awsome experience to be there live. I think it was even better than going to the Super Bowl (went to Elway's last game).
Dave, Mania is looking to be in Vegas next year, so I think you should make your plans.
I am hoping to make a Vegas trip again in the next year (most likely for a convention) and hopefully can meet some Vegas based promoters on my trip. Galacticon Vegas may indeed happen some day.
