I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but Marvel Comics also has a character named Blazing Skull, who oddly enough, looks exactly like the COTG version. The marvel version came first and appears to be one of their more obscure characters. here is a link to an article about him on wikipedia.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blazing_Skull

Yeah, but our Skull is much cooler.
He probably was not used as much because of a resemblance to Ghost Rider.

If I recall my comic history correctly, Ghost Rider was sort of an update/homage to Blazing Skull...
Skull appeared recently in the modern INvaders mini series from a couple years ago... not the best book ever, but Skull was actually pretty interesting

Considering he's appeared in a Marvel comic after Stan Lee left Marvel, I'd say probably not.

I also have run into a DC character named Death Masque. He appeared as a villian in Warlord comics. Yes I have read Warlord comics.

I've read Warlord too, don't rememeber him! Those old DC "Sword and Sorcery" comics were great!
IN the obsure comic character that share CoTG names dept., there was also a Battering Ram in the Mike Allred version of X-Force (X-Statix)
