In cooperation with Marvel Comics, Stephen King has a new comic series coming out soon, based on his Dark Tower books. I am a mega-book nerd, and I love horror novels, but I have only owned and read three of King's books (Night Shift, The Running Man and his new book, CELL). Consequently, I missed out on the Dark Tower series.
I'm wondering if the King fans can clue me in and tell me if this is a comic worth adding to my subscriptions. I plan to eventually buy the Dark Tower novels (when I have time and a life again - damned Masters degree!), but I'm on the fence about the comics. Last month's Wizard gave a good synopsis of the comic that got my interest up. If you know anything more, please share.

well, I BELIEVE its supposed to be a prequel, so it might not be bad to get the comic and then decide if you want to invest the time and money in the Dark Tower series.
