This is a question for fans of the X-Men comics and the surrounding titles. I was just wondering, after reading about the new X-Factor, where the characters all stand. I guess the best way to answer would be by teams and stuff like that. I go in and out of reading comics and the last time I read X-Men was about the time when Juggernaut started to join and Northstar was leading a portion of the team. I don't even really understand what is going on with the New X-Men, X-Treme X-Men and any other variations. I am just interested in what is going on with the characters that I loved so much as a kid. Comics are so blasted expensive.

This is being pieced together entirely from the latest X-Men Handbook, one of the few Marvel comics I still get...=)
Astonishing X-Men: Cyclops, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Beast, Shadowcat, Colossus, Lockheed.
X-Men: Havok, Iceman, Polaris, Rogue, Gambit.
Uncanny X-Men: Nightcrawler, Rachel Summers, Psylocke, Bishop, Cannonball.
X-Force is still active with Caliban, Meltdown, Domino, Shatterstar and Warpath.
Captain Britain formed a new Excalibur with Juggernaut, Nocturne, Dazzler and Pete Wisdom...I don't honestly recall if anyone else is on that team, as I tried to piece this together for your benefit from secondhand sources...=)

Thanks alot. Do you know what happened to Jean Grey? I don't see her on there. Also is there a Brotherhood right now? Its good to see alot of the people that I enjoyed still in the books.

Ooo, how about Angel? Last I had heard he had a second mutation and could now heal people. I thought he was a pretty cool character.

Yah...not sure what happened to that secondary mutation...but he was supposed to be in the Excalibur series that immediately preceded the new Captain Britain was, but Chris Claremont, 14 issues in, never got around to adding him to the book and his idea got killed thanks to House of M, which required Magneto, who was kinda central to Excalibur (the premise was Xavier and Magneto saving Genosha).

Since no one mentioned X-Factor...
THe new X-Factor is basically a continuation of the "Madrox" mini... basically is Mutant CSI (or so the reviews say... my store sold out on me)
the roster, I think, is Madrox, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, Siryn, Monet, and Layla Miller.
