This is a great book, just finished issue #18. Helm is a very good story about Conan's Helmet passing hands after his adventures in issue #3 where he lost the helmet. The new mini-series Conan and the Demons of Khitai looks like a solid series.

I can't say enough about this series. It's one of my all-time favorite comic series.
Rumor has it that Darkhorse and the Conan crew may be shopping an animated series idea around to HBO as a companion series to the new animated Spawn. Here's hoping it's more than a rumor, and the comic and series maintain the great standard of storytelling and art that has made it a must-read.

This is an absolutely fabulous comic.
Usually at the bottom of my stack, because I want to read something really good last.
I have never been disappointed.

Al Simmons - the man responsible for Todd McFarlane's marketing and merchandising deprtments, not the character who becomes Spawn - mentioned during a press conference (to announce the actors who will do voices for the new HBO Spawn cartoon) that Conan may join Spawn as part of a new latenight animation package for HBO.
Dark Horse Comics has often mentioned "expanding the license beyond publishing and into various productions", and HBO has stated that they are interested in acquiring the rights to George Lucas' new animated Star Wars series and a few other animated shows to comprise a night of animation.

I stopped collecting comics about a year ago when I quit my job... it was too expensive anyway, but the one book I can really say I miss is Dark Horse's Conan. WOW... what an incredible read it was. The last issue I think I got was #6 and eventually I'm going to pick the others up on eBay or something.
As for the animated series... I hope it comes true. I don't plan to subscribe to HBO but I'll sure pick season 1 up when it comes out on DVD. =)

Well, it's not exaclty a TV series, but here's news about the animated Conan movie. I suppose this could lead to a television series. It's also possible that this is the project that I was privvy to when I heard about the Conan series. www.superherohype.com/news.php?id=3562
