I didn't read comics from 2000-2004. When did they start calling trade paperbacks graphic novels? Back in the day, graphic novels were stand alone products, like the Death of Captain Marvel, or the Futurians, or the Hunger Dogs, and the books that were collections were called trade paperbacks. Did someone decide that graphic novel sounded cooler, and somehow would make comics more acceptable?
