I have seen recently where a couple of Graphic novels have been done on popular fantasy novels; i.e. George R.R. Martin's "Hedge Knight" (From t he Fire and Ice Series) and Robert Jordan's "New Spring" (from The Eye of the World Series).
Has anybody seen/read these. I am not big in the comic/graphic novel scene but am a fan of these authors' works and am wondering if they are worth the buy?
Any help is appreciated.

I got the first issue of "hedge knight" it was pretty good, but didn't really have anything to do with the books, except for setting..I didn't get the rest, but I've seem positive reviews about it.
They're suppose to be be a series based of Drizz't of Dragon Lance fame coming out
Ihere are a few things from a while back (I think there a Dragonriders GN from the 80s, and there was a couple wild cards comics, though maybe not it trade)
I was so aggravated that New Spring was a prequel and not the next book of the series I skipped everything even remotely related.
On the whole, licensed properties in comics are very hit and miss, especially when they're put out by small publishers.. they often start series and never finish them.
There is a movement for prose writers to go into comics (Orson Scott Card is the most recent), I'd be more likely to recommend you checking out an author you like more than a series.
