1. Fantastic Four 2. Avengers 3. Defenders 4. JLA 5. All-Winners #5 is a tribute to a superhero team of the Golden Age featuring Cap America, Human Torch, Sub-Mariner and others. I couldn't think of anyone else and I never got into the X-Men.

My favorites were:
1 - Astro City(a Kurt Busiek creation) 2 - X-Men 3 - Authority(once again ultra graphic violence won me over in the end) 4 - JLA 5 - Inhumans
My favorite team mini series was Watchmen. And I don't know how Straczynski's Rising Stars would be classified, but it's one of my all time favorites. ;D

I liked Watchmen too. One of those turning points in the history of comics.

FANTASTIC FOUR!
I was never into DC Comics or the X-Men, so I have to go with the good ol' FF! The Avengers was a good series too, but the Fantastic Four was always a comic I would buy.

Being a huge fan of both Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler, I ate the original run of Excalibur up readily. I own just about all of them, stopping somewhere around 110. Various other mutant books would round out my Top 5, although I stopped reading and collecting some time ago.

X-Men has been a favorite series for a while but if you want to know the one I enjoyed the most, it would be the Alan Davis run of Excalibur (like Chris). I liked the humor and weirdness of the storylines plus Nightcrawler is one of my favorite characters. Made me mad when they took it into a darker direction around the Age of Apocalypse period.

X-Men has been a favorite series for a while but if you want to know the one I enjoyed the most, it would be the Alan Davis run of Excalibur (like Chris). The Alan Davis/Chris Claremont (and later, Davis/Davis) Excaliburs were THE BOMB. ;D And yeah... post- AoA was when I started to drift away. I think the last issue I got was in the middle of the DougLock story.

Wow, no JSA on the list. I've been a big FF fan for years (and yes, looking forward to the movie, although I don't quite like the look of Thing). JSA has been my favorite team book by far for the last 4 or 5 years now.

I have to agree with The Nature Boy...JSA has been awesome for quite some time. After that I really enjoy the Ultimates.

Hey Nature Boy, I actually think they did good with the Thing. It's weird, but when Chilkas (is that the spelling) started the Shield, I told one of my friends he'd make a good Ben Grimm.
I like it that it's not in CGI. And like most of the "Big" Marvel movies, I'm going to be at the first showing.

JSA is the best team book of the whole DC line-up, it has passed the once great Justice League of America... and not the JLA version. From issue 1 to the current issue, the JSA has not had a dull issue IMO. I'm looking to read the new JSA : Classifieds series, that should be a great read too.
There are many other solid books like the 80's Defenders, DP7 and my favorite from the New Universe Kickers Inc. which was a cool book IMO. Heroes for Hire was another good book that was short lived, should've been had a longer run.

HELL YEAH, Jack from Kickers Inc. and his gang had such a wierd vibe to it. The whole Marvel New Universe line was crazy. They could do practically anything and get away with it. I loved the stories involving Rodstvow. Ahhhh, Communism... is it greater then the white event?

Dude...I loved Wild Cats but have you noticed in the Image titles-there was never any background art...Voodoo was hot! I mean for a cartoon...

It's been awhile for this topic, but I have to add one other title to the team list...
Big Bang Comics has two groups in the old style of JLA and JSA, and that is the...
Round Table of America and Knights of Justice
Big Bang Comic is the best homage book on the market today.
