UPDATE FROM LORDS OF PAIN
At last word, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger is still hospitalized in Califiornia, but listed in stable condition. It appears he suffered an infection that caused a nerve impingement with his central nervous system, which led to temporary paralysis. He did not have a heart attack or stroke. Luger is currently undergoing intravenous antibiotic treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

guess he reaped what he sowed. I definitely see that point because I'm not a compassionate guy to anyone who craps on themselves... ..but to his credit, from all accounts, he is one who is sincere about a change and has tried to make amends. I hope he can do that and it isn't' too late.

-- Lex Luger was finally transferred from California to an Atlanta area hospital last week. Unfortunately for Luger, he still has not regained the use of his arms or legs after suffering what is thought to have been a "spinal stroke" while on the west coast to attend an autograph convention four weeks ago. Before he was left in paraplegic state, Luger was scheduled to have hip replacement surgery last week and had been told by doctors that they were amazed he was able to walk given the deteriorating condition of both of his hips.

Thanks Jim for providing these updates. Always in shape and very articulate...Luger impressed me as someone I thought would make an easy and successful transition away from the business. It's sad to see that wasn't the case. To hear that he is now in a paraplegic state is shocking and a real shame. Hopefully all will ultimately work out for the best.

The official diagnosis was that he suffered a spinal stroke. He collapsed in a hotel room on Friday, October 19 when he was in San Francisco for a wrestling convention. It's kind of karma coming for Luger.
His drug habit helped lead to Miss Elizabeth's death.
Not saying it was directly his fault, but he played a part in it,
