back in '83..... What was the titles and their prestige during StarrCade '83? (most prestigious to least prestigious) 1. World Title (of course, even though Mid Atlantic didn't control the champion yet, as Race was champ) 2. US Title 3. Mid Atlantic Heavyweight 4. NWA TV and the Tag Teams: 1. NWA World 2. Mid Atlantic Tag Titles (even though, they were vacant) Thanks Chris

Stu Lowry could probably answer this better than I could. But I seem to recall that the Mid Atlantic belt often was ranked higher than the U.S. belt. I think by '83 though, the importance would have been reversed. The TV title would have been the lowest of the four, as at this point (IIRC), it was still regional, being the Mid Atlantic TV belt. I think it was Dusty in '85 who "upgraded" it to World TV title status, with the belt that had the logos of the three major networks on it. I'm almost 100% sure that the NWA World belts were the highest. By this point, they were probably one of the hottest tag belts anywhere, due to great feuds like Steamboat & Youngblood vs. Slaughter & Kernodle. I may be wrong, but that's what I can recall at this late hour.

what is strange to me, though....it seems lop sided.
There is the US Title, then the Mid Atlantic.
On the tag team side, there was the World Tag Title (I believe it was the Mid Atlantic version?), followed by the Mid Atlantic Tag.
Not long after StarCade, the Mid Atlantic tag titles were abandoned, and then a couple years later, the US tag titles were used.....
but, it seems to me, that there should have been the US Title and a US Tag Title as the top 2 titles in the region (considering that the World title was not actually there in Mid Atlantic).
trying to decide something for my fed....
I have a World Champ who will "tour".
the territory then has a singles champ, which would be the US Champion. Followed by the Mid Atlantic Champion, then the TV Champion.
Now, on the tag team side, not sure if I shouldl have the World Tag Titles locked in under the control of the promotion, or make them a touring champion. And, if I do make the World tag belts a touring title, what should be the main Mid Atlantic Tag Title....a US Tag Title, or the Mid Atlantic Tag Titles? Just not sure what to do....

Well if you're trying to maintain realism then there wouldn't be touring World Tag Team champions as profitable as they might seem. It might seem strange but the Mid-Atlantic title was the biggest of the promotion when the champ wasn't in town and generally the #1 contender in the territory to the champion. If you don't like the idea of the MA title being over the U.S. title then just scrap the U.S. altogether or make it the main title. Same deal with the Tag titles. Ultimately, it's up to you. But if you want the exact structure of Mid-Atlantic then it's the order that Cory listed above.
