Endgame / Fate of Atman

Anyone else think Atman is influencing Endgame's behavior? Atman's ascension and Endgame's change of heart occurring at the same time seems a little suspicious. In 2117, it seemed like Endgame was a talented but conceited jerk. Now, he's like the second coming of Star Warrior. Could Atman be manipulating Endgame the same way Maramus is using Godsend?
