What made ECW so great?
Plain and simple it was the fans. If it wasn't for the fans ECW would have not survived as long as it did and what the ECW Wrestlers knew it and put in their all in every match the wrestled in
The Fans respected the ECW Wrestlers for what they did and when the Wrestlers did something exciting they let them know it
I remember Guerrero,Benoit+Malenko last show in ECW where the fans gave them a standing ovation giving them a big send off. Thats a lot of respect there. Something you don't see in the WWE or ever saw in WCW
ECW Will live on in the hearts of the fans.
If you never attended a live ECW show you missed a great experience as there was nothing like being at n ECW show live

I had the pleasure of attending ECW matches in Revere, MA. The action was non-stop. The fans were into every minute. The unexpected was always expected and yet a shock when it happened. The trademark of each wrestler was his outlandish behavior. Was there any more fun than watching Public Enemy or The Ganstas. How about Foley, Funk and Axl in outragous matches including the flaming table match. And the the frosting on the cake on TV was Joey Styles. I will never forget his high pitched voice yelling "Oh My God." It's hard to pick one thing over another. To borrow an expression, It was the 'total package' that was important.
