I was moving some stuff around in my basement and came across a CWA magazine (for those who don't know, thats what Jarrett Promotions was called, although people in Louisville, KY called it Channel 3 wrestling).
I remember going to my first card in 1982. I was 9 at the time. My uncle went all the time and me and my dad went with him. The lineup was a pretty great first card:
Jerry Lawler vs JJ Dillion (Dillion had been sending men in to take the Southern Title from Lawler and was threatening to take it back to Florida)
Southern Title Match Kamala (Champ) vs Outlaw Ron Bass
Mid America Title Match Bobby Eaton vs Bill Dundee
Stan Lane vs Sweet Brown Sugar (Koko Ware)
Dutch Mantel vs the Angel (Frank Morrell)
Terry Taylor (I believe making his first appearance) & Carl Fergie (Lawler's cousin) vs Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Norvell Austin)
Some went on to some pretty big careers. Nice night for a first card

I mainly go to indy promotions, but my first card was WCW in Sioux City, IA. I remember the NWO was still going and Luger and Giant beat Nash and Henning. But the best match of the night was Booker T.

December 30, 1989, WWF, last card of the 80's
The main event was Roddy Piper vs. Rick Rude. Piper was hillarious, doing his eye poking and other comedy stuff.
Also, newly crowned tag team champions, The Colossal Connection (Haku & Andre The Giant) defending against former champs Demolition. I was pumped to see Andre in person but halfway through the card it was announced that Andre missed his flight (probably a lie) and that Bobby Heenan would have to take his place. Heenan begged the Dems not to beat him up, but they did anyway. It was pretty funny.
The only other matches I remember was Ronnie Garvin vs. Greg Valentine, Tito Santana vs. a jobber, and Jimmy Snuka vs. a jobber.

Even though I live near St. Louis, one of wrestling's hot beds in the past, I didn't see a live wrestling card until long after I could drive. The first show I ever went to was the Bad Blood PPV where Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker wrestled in the first Hell in the Cell match.

My dad took me to my first card (WWF) in 1986 around the time of Wrestlemania 2. My dad bought the tickets a month in advance and to me (a 12 year old kid at the time) it seemed like the longest month ever since I could not wait to see the wrestlers, whom I stayed up late every Saturday night to watch on TV, perform live in front of me. The opening match saw Rene Goulet lose to somebody (I think Leaping Lanny Poffo) after Goulet failed to hit his opponent with a loaded black glove. The main event was the British Bulldogs versus Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. I also remember George Steele wrestling the Macho Man Randy Savage who had Elizabeth in the corner because many guys in the audience were shouting in excitement towards Elizabeth. Although I unfortunately can not find my program from that night, some of the other wrestlers on the card were Adrian Adonis, Moondog Spot, Danny Spivey ( I think he was called the "Golden Boy" at the time and for some reason some people in the crowd got him confused with Hogan), and ( I think, but perhaps they were on the following month's card) Corporal Kirchner and Nikolai Volkoff. Although I was just a Sixth Grade kid who witnessed a couple of vicious fights between audience members in my vicinity and had to dodge a beer hurled in my direction, I remember having an unbelievable amount of fun and just could not wait to attend another house show.

My first card was a World Class card with "newly" crowned World chgampion facing off against Ric Rude...I saw Shawn Miochaels get crushed by Eric Embry...man, that was like in 87 or 88...somewhere around there.... My son's first card is tonight....a Wrestlemania Revenge tour card that features Bataista vs. Triple H & Flair...Benoit vs. Edge in a Last Man standing match...look for Triple H fears Endgame and DSC Rulz boards if they televise it...later

My first card was a WCW house show here in minneapolis at the Target Center around '97 or '98. I barely remember any of the matches except Rick Steiner vs. Scott Norton, I always have been a big Norton fan so that one was cool and Booker T vs. Lenny Lane. We were kinda mad about the Booker T match because he was really getting hot at the time. Then we only get to see him in a short match against Lenny Lane. Not to take anything away from Lane though. He is a very entertaining wrestler too. I am actually going to an event in 2 days. It is one of Ted Dibiase's Christian wrestling shows. It will be cool cuz I will be able to get some of my LOW cards signed. Dibiase, Road Warrior Animal, Jim Duggan, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake will all be there. I am pumped.

I had the privelage of seeing Dick The Bruiser team up with Moose Cholak to face Bulldog Don Kent and Dr Jerry Graham Jr as the main event of my first live show. It was 1984. Bobo Brazil was also on the WWA card.
As luck would have it, I saw nearly the same show a couple of months later about 30 miles from my town.
