Pepper Gomez Passes Away

Dave Meltzer reported today at wrestlingobserver.com that Pepper Gomez, one of the top stars of the 50's and 60's passed away earlier today.
Gomez was involved in an infamous angle with Ray Stevens that led to a red hot feud between the two. Gomez had been peforming a series of challenges where he would allow people to jump off a ladder onto his stomach. Stevens took him up on the challenge, but instead of landing on Gomez' stomach, Stevens landed on his throat.
Gomez had been in ill health recently and Meltzer reports he was taken off life support last night and passed away this morning
