most of us either saw or at least heard about Jesse Ventura at WrestleMania hinting at a possible Presidential run in 2008, "it may be time we put a wrestler in the white house". Last night i was thinking about this comment and well... the country already did, about 150 years ago. Abe Lincoln was said to be a pro wrestler in his younger days. There's actually a saying about the lineage of the NWA World title, "anyone can trace the NWA World championship back to Lou Thesz in 1948, many can even trace it back to Hackenschmidt and Gotch in the early 1900's, but true historians can trace it all the way back to when Abe Lincoln was NWA World champion." so maybe Ventura or Hogan may not be that far away

I dont know about a wrestler being president except for Lincoln but you know what
I wouldnt be surprised if a wrestler(Ventura) became president. He cant do any worse then what we have had of late

How the government would look with wrestlers in control:
President: Jesse Ventura VP: Bobby Heenan Secratary of Defense: Hulk Hogan Secratary of State: Jimmy Hart Chief of Homeland Security: SGT Slaughter

I've read that, if you trace the wrestling history of Lincoln, the title that he held would most closely be linked to the United States Championship. That is according to the Hall Of Fame in Iowa.

What I want to know is if you had the chance to vote for any wrestler, living or dead, real or fictional, to be the next President, who would it be? Now there's an interesting topic.
My vote would go to Commander Sam, hands down.

In case you havent noticed, George W. is just as war mongering as Commander Sam.

Yes, but do you think George would have the guts to tangle with the likes of Comrade Terror?
