The WWF was a great federation to watch in it's day, but my main two federations are the AWA and the NWA/WCW.
The AWA was a very cool federation that had the great Road Warriors, then they went to the NWA/WCW and when I got cable I was glued to TBS every sunday.
The Four Horsemen, Midnight Express, The Varsity Club and the list just goes on why the NWA/WCW kicked ass.
I know the old days are gone, but to remember them just is a great trip. The WWE is not what it once was, but after WMXX I'm back to watching it on a solid basis.
What are your thoughts on the AWA, NWA/WCW and another fed that I did not talk about and that is the WCCW which I loved as well.

I loved the AWA, on ESPN weekdays at 4PM.
I just couldn't stand Greg Gange though.
But all the rest, Bockwinkel, Henning, the Road Warriors, Long Riders, Midnight Rockers (before they sucked), Scott Hall (if you've never seen Hall before his Razor days you just gotta see what he looked like), Baron Von Rashke, Slaughter, Zbysko, and of course Jake "the milkman" Milliman, the list goes on and on.
AWA brings back so many good memories, same as pre-Turner NWA/WCW.

The NWA(Pre Turner) was awesome. Some of the greatest action ever came out of the NWA
I always loved the AWA and it was a shame who it closed
WCCW-World Class was very good with teh Freebirds and the Von Erichs. To bad it later became the USWA
ECW FOR LIFE

Haha Jake "The milkman" Milliman, I remember one time he fought I think Col. Debeers in a Turkey on a pole match. I remember people use to hate Debeers with a passion, I'll never forget how I felt when he piledrove Snuka on the concrete.

I got to see a Battle Royal that decided who had the next title shot against Nick Bockwinkel. It had Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Bockwinkel, Mr. Saito, Rick Martel (I think he won).

As a kid, I always thought that I like the WWF the best. As time has passed, all of my fondest wrestling memories come from watching the AWA on ESPN and Sportschannel and NWA on TBS.
I guess that the WWF appealed to kids in the early to mid 80's but it just doesn't hold up with time. It goes to show that really great professional wrestling is timeless. Sports entertainment has a very limited shelf life.

Hulk Hogan and the mid-80's WWF got me hooked into wrestling, but soon after I discovered my love for it,I became addicted to Crockett promotions' NWA.I could not miss an episode!my faves were the Rock'n'Roll Express.Ricky Morton was a GOD to me.I got the chance to spend some time with Mr.Morton last year, and to be honest,it was a big letdown.Just had to say that.

Yeah I've heard a lot about Ricky Morton. I've read in a couple places that he has a huge cocaine problem.
