Too bad. I'm a big Favre fan. Wish he could've gotten to the big dance one more time.
Well, Hall of Fame first-balloter, no doubt.

Normally, I would agree. I hope he could have gone to the Superbowl, but since I'm a Giants fan... oh well! Seriously though, there is no doubt in my mind that Favre will go to the hall of fame very quickly, and he definitely deserves it. Congrats Favre on one of the best careers!

There seems to be some sour grapes involved, with his agent making a reference to Favre wanting to come back but feeling the team didn't want him to. Not sure if it's Moss-related. Last year, I was receptive to Moss coming to GB, but I didn't think it was necessary this year. They are fine at WR.
So I don't know....I suppose it's not a 100% in stone retirement.....but either way, heck yeah he's a 1st ballot HoFer and one of the best ever, if not the best.

Congrats to Favre on a great career.
And thanks for sparing us the "drama queen" nonsense of taking endless days and months to make his mind up. I don't know what was more painful last off-season, Favre or Roger Clemens.
Nice to see Alex Marvez getting some face time. He came up through Dayton and wrote a weekly wrestling column alongside his work as the Bengals' beat writer.
And while you're on the page, the Michigan women's basketball coach has an awesome meltdown video!
