Today Bob Knight, the all time winningest coach in Division I men's basketball with over 900 wins, abruptly quit at Texas Tech. His son, Pat Knight, is taking over as coach there. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3230737

I hope there's nothing wrong with Coach Knight. This seems kind of out of character for him to just up and quit in the middle of the season.

He's making way for his son. He had an agreement in 05' that Pat would take over after he stepped down. There has been administrative change at Tech and he wants Pat to have his shot. After he reached the 900 wins he was ready to step down and had to be talked into coaching this season.

I feel bad for his poor wife. Now he'll be at home all the time to toss furniture and swear. Hope he doesn't yank her by the neck.
