Lakers Get Gasol

Today the Los Angles Lakers made a good trade getting Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Kwame Brown, Jarvis Crittenton, 2 First Round draft picks, Aaron McKie, and Marc Gasol (Pau's brother).

Good trade for the Lakers because they definitely need help in the front court and another scoring option until Andrew Bynum returns.

Wow..That trade was a steal for the Lakers. They gave up nothing, really and got a 18/10 guy. Great trade.

I was gonna say the two first round picks stood out to me as too much. There are only two rounds in the NBA draft. Yes the players are good, the Lakers are my team and always have been, but I'm always leery with any team when too much of a year's draft pick are given away.

Those two First Round draft picks actually aren't in the same year. One is in 2008 and the other is in 2010.

And those picks are gonna be late in the first round! No where near the lottery.

Ok, I didn't look up anything else about the trade and the first post didn't say when the picks were so I thought they were both next draft.

Gasol will be able to fill the void the Bynum injury has opened...and when Bynum gets back, this is one heck of a 1 -2 punch down low for them...i don't know if it will be the huge difference maker down the stretch, but Kobe, Bynum, Gasol, and Odom on the court at the same time are gonna be tough to match.

Glad to see that Mitch finally realized that Kwame just isn't going to pan out...that boy should have gone to college...

Yeah, and all of them are still in their 20s!
