Great win for the Giants!
Eli has been playing better and better the last half of the season and now, into the playoffs.
The Giants are a tough, physical defense (who were missing a few starters in the Cowboys game) and they run the ball. If you do these 2 things, you are a good team and can beat anybody.
That being said, I think the Packers will win. They are almost unbeatable at Lambeau.

The Giants are 9-1 on the road? That's really impressive. A tough, tough thing to do.
I'm optimistic in that, as Payback pointed out, it's awfully hard to beat the Packers in Lambeau in the post-season (only happened once)....but with that said, this is by NO means a gimme.
Again, I just can't believe how this season has turned out for the Pack. I had them at 8-8 in the pre-season, was bemoaning Ted Thompson's draft and team building.....what a turnaround.

GO GIANTS! If Peyton can't win it again this year, seeing his little brother win would be the next best thing. Of course, as long as the Pats lose, I'll be happy.

Actually, I think the Pack lost twice at Lambeau Field: in 2003, they lost to the Falcons, and in 2005 they lost to the Vikings (this was the year of the imfamous fake mooning the crowd by Randy Moss) Despite this said, I think the Packers take this one for three reasons: 1) as mentioned earlier, Packers are historically so good at home, 2) Favre looked really good last weekend, and 3) Most of the time I pick the Giants to lose, they win, and vice versa. (and in case you didn't see in any previous posts, I'm a big Giant fan)

(and in case you didn't see in any previous posts, I'm a big Giant fan) I stand corrected....I forgot about the Vikings loss (perhaps my mind blocking out unpleasant things). The Packers showed that they can light it up, and if they play even close to as well as they did after those 4 minutes of hell on Saturday, I don't see anybody (except the Patriots) beating them. For a young team, they seemed to actually mature throughout the game. I was amazed. I think the Giants pose a threat and have proven how good they are on the road, but for the past couple weeks I've felt the Packers are the class of the NFC, and this weekend upheld that. I'm cautiously optimsitic. And I think they match up favorably against the Giants. The G-Men's secondary is banged up, which bodes well for Jennings, Driver, et al. And our defense seems to be clicking all around -- I don't think a Shockey-less (TEs seem to give the Packers troubles) Giants offense will cause them too many problems.

BDS, seriously, stop being obsessed about the Patriots.
They are a better team than the Colts.
Deal with it. Cheer for your team.
On the topic, Eli has really impressed me this post season. I have never been an Eli fan but he has made a believer out of me.
I think they will give New England a run for their money. Great game by the Giants. They were the better team and deserved to win.

As a Chargers fan, I am not an Eli fan, but you have to hand it to the Giants for beating the Packers!
Can they do in the Super Bowl what they couldn't do in Week 16? Stay tuned...

Actually, I think this will be a good game. The Giants are hotter than any team in the NFL right now, New Yorkers actually like Eli, and the fans remember that only a few weeks ago, they almost prevented the Patriots from going 16-0.
If the Patriots holding their opponents to field goals on every drive prevents the Giants from scoring 35 points this time, then so be it. But this Superbowl is just like the one they played in 1986 against the Chicago Bears with the roles reversed. The Patriots have to win this game. No one expects the Giants to, despite their inspirational run, but they'll be remembered for a Namath-level upset if they do.
It definitely will not be like the Cowboys-Bills or the Niners-Chargers of the mid-90s...

Coughlin needs to convince his team that they are the road team (which, I suppose, technically they are)......that 10-1 road record, capped off with a Lambeau win, is astounding.
Part of me thinks the Pats have been looking vulnerable lately, and part of me thinks they are just toying with their opponents.
I HOPE it's a good game, but I could see the Patriots destroying the Giants.
