The NFL today decided that this Saturday's game between the Patriots and the Giants won't just be shown on the NFL Network but will also be shown on both CBS and NBC too. sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3169075It doesn't really make much of a difference to me at all because I have the NFL Network anyways, but I think it's good that all NFL fans will get a chance to watch this historic game.

I have a hook up for good seats at Giants Stadium and I'll be taking one of my 'core account' clients to the game after a business dinner. Hopefully history will be made.

Since I don't care all that much about the Patriots or the Giants, I'm actually looking forward to this more to view the trainwreck that is Bryant Gumbel: Play-by-Play Announcer at Large.

Being a Pats fan, I want to see this happen...I'm just glad that I'm not paying DirecTV to have the NFL Network, then them turning around and showing it for free elsewhere. All is good and can't wait to see it. More importantly, I want to see Brady break Manning's single-season TD record...Moss surpassing Rice I don't care much about as I do the Brady-Manning rivaly.

I take it back. Gumbel was surprisingly good. Call the play, shut up and let Collinsworth explain the rest. Didn't think his ego could handle that. Great game all the way around, but when the Eli Manning Face was broken out (after the interception) you could write the Giants off then and there.

Gumbel was not a sucky as usual and that's pretty sucky.
The NFL network was quite smart at their little ploy. They pimped the network all night long to a national audience. Good business move.

Good move...although in NY they were already playing it on channel 9. I wonder why they played it on NBC and CBS...besides the writer's strike and need for content...
