For sure not a trade that worked out for the sox in the end. Murphy will be a nice player and Gabbard will be a back of the rotation guy. They dealt from surplus though so it won't hurt that much.

Gagne sure looked washed up in the playoffs this past year. The Brewers might want to reconsider this one.

Gagne sure looked washed up in the playoffs this past year. The Brewers might want to reconsider this one. It's worth the gamble. A one year deal....not earth-shattering if he doesn't pan out. I'm glad the Brewers are in the position to actually take a risk like this, instead of the cheap, do-nothing ways of the past. I'm optimistic. And secondly, the Cardinals suck. |
