I've always been a fan of a football league other then the NFL. The old USFL was a very cool league, too bad it went under when they went head to head with the NFL. One team I really liked from the USFL was the Oakland Invaders, they kicked a**.
The CFL is a great league for football fans who like it wide open, and I've been a fan for along time. I really don't hate any team in the CFL, I like most of them.
Now this was a league I really wanted to see last, the WLAF was a cool summer league that the NFL turned into NFL Europe, which in the end is not the same. Here again, I liked all the teams but Frankfurt Galaxy and Birmingham Fire took my top picks.
The NFL is the tops in football, but those leagues had something unique that made them fun to watch.

The CFL is really starting to become a very good league. The NFL will always be 'Football'...can't beat Sundays during the season. However, the CFL has started attracting the attention of quite a few solid NFL guys or NCAA guys (former 1st Rounders) who haven't been able to crack the NFL but have tons of talent. Were also seeing a few QB's (Jeff Garcia, Doug Flutie and now Ricky Ray) get jobs in the NFL after getting to really develop their skills in the wide open, pass first CFL. The CFL is still a work in progress in some markets (Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton) but the other teams (BC, Edmonton, Montreal, Winnipeg, Saskatchewan & Calgary) usually get sellouts for their home games and there is nothing wrong with watching a good 45-41 game!
